......stripes, position, how many drugs you got, ability to communicate, an understanding of this world.....

Hardon brushes his little remaining hair across the top of his head to cover the ever growing bald patch and uses the suitcase to stand on knowing he will pay the price for this choice later....

Which carries more weight? The streets are interesting at moment, I am enjoying a lot of what I hear and there seems to be a range of positions on what can or should be said and by whom. For some the 'weight' is valued on age, rank and how heavy the pockets are with drugs, for others it is valued  on the communication method and delivery from anyone if done correctly. I fall personally into the latter - I don't even mind those that stumble over the words when speaking if the point is valid and well made. Do we encourage those that wander the streets and talk to themselves and nurture the desire to be a part of things? What are the unspoken 'rules' on the steets?

Johannes was on the street corner playing on his new guitar tuned down to sound more heavy in his never ending mission to bring the genre of metal to the masses whether they wanted it or not when he heard an interesting speech so he put his guitar back in its case and brought it over and stood on it to address the question.

"what holds the most weight you ask? in my eyes its more in depth than the criteria you mentioned, while age, rank and how many kilos of drugs they can offload in a single day is important you neglected to mention an often neglected standard that i personally look for in a leader, and that is Generalship. what is generalship? simply put its when the leader leads by example, not asking their soldato's to do something they wouldnt personally do. A baboon can lead a congress but a general can make a country march to his beat."

Johannes paused scanning the crowd and the man he was addressing then continued

"as for the second and third question i feel that as of late, new life has been breathed into these fair streets of ours and leaders and least from what ive witnessed do encourage talk and debate in the streets and coffee shops all the way to the redlight district over on discord avenue. So in closing i would say that great leaders do encourage their members to be apart of something bigger than themselves in regards to talking to their fellow mobsters in all social forms that we currently have"

Johannes stepped off his guitar case and picked it up before giving the floor to the next speaker.

Hardon hearing the music stopped in his tracks....then instantly became jealous of the the case this fine gentleman had to stand on and speak so eliquently gazing down sadly at his shabby heavy suitcase, he listened in awe....

Sir I could not agree with you more, lead by example absolutely - demonstrate the way the world works by actions and words in equal measure. It is a skill indeed to lead as you say quite correctly - maybe sometimes a lost art. To throw a young one out and say speak something because my family is quiet is not right. I equally know what it takes for young ones to speak, some carry wisdom beyond their ages that are worthy of at least listening to. To take an appropriate response is a learned skill that you would hope came from family or diaries or memories. I personally wish more young and old alike spoke their truth. 

Hardon hides his suitcase behind his back and kicks around cigarette ends on the floor in hope of a distraction....
