I don't overly support an NBA team but I've followed it recently in the last 7/8 years... when Kobe went it hit me hard. That was weirdest i've felt about a celeb death. 

I can't say any celeb has impacted me personally.  Now several I can say I hated to see many of them gone because I enjoyed what some of them were capable of and there talents were amazing.  But if you really get to know many of these so called celebs they are not nearly that great of an individual.

And losing Chris Farley crushed me... I always felt like I could relate to him

I am a fan of Robin Williams, the way he used to make me laugh and still does whenever I sit and watch his films. He will be sorely missed in my life.

Steve Prefontaine was the first American athlete that sorta impacted my life with running.. ofcourse I cant forget Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players of all time.. his death actually hurted a bit, maybe because of his daughter being involved etc.. 

Robin Williams is definitely one that stung slight, however, the one that really got me was David Bowie. I have no idea really why, I only listened to his music now and again, but something about his last album Black Star and notably the song Lazarus stuck a chord with me. I don't know if it's a shame or the exact opposite, but I find myself listening to his music more now.

Not sure if this count's but Chester Bennington, I grew up on Linkin Park, they to me were larger than life and it was sad to learn he was depressed and took his own life. It impacted me cause I wanted to hear more of what he had to offer for sure. 

The only celebrity whose death impacted me at all was the sudden and tragic death of Robin Williams. Sometimes, I watch his films and forget that he's gone- it's so strange to think that he'll never do stand-up or act again. He was a mainstay, more-so than any other dead figure. And I think it also numbed me to the tragic deaths that followed.

Freddie Mercury, grew up listening to Queen so was a wee bit gutted when he died the man sure could sing and entertain.

For me it would be Raffi. Yes, that amazing singer of children's songs. I've met him a few times over the years at events I was taken to as a child and events that I took my own children to. Sitting and watching my sons sing along and dance taught me a lot. Take every moment for what it is and enjoy it... Even if it's singing Bananaphone under a tent in the rain.

I can't say I was impacted by any of them dying since I knew none of them personally. So with that said the one I have met is still alive but probably not for long, he is getting up there in age now and none of us live forever.

Death is a part of life we will all go through so I have always taken it as that and I am never upset or impacted. Sad for a while yes, but that is about all.

I would have to say Michael Jackson and Prince.  Two of the greatest gone too soon.  Both had it all, taken away by drugs and the fast live.  

this is interesting but as a massive lover of music 2016 sucked hugely.  two of my heroes, David Bowie and Prince died and i was genuinely numb and in tears both times.

such is the impact music can have on you, RIP to you both you magnificent fuckers.
