CANDID CONVOS WITH ALLY
Real talk with real gangsters.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening!
I am your wacky host Ally and today's guest is TheOfficeManager. We dive into how he paved his way into the mafia, advice for the young gangsters out there and life now as an old geezer - aged gracefully!

For weeks, Ally had been going over her exciting plans to invest in an interview show. And now it was time! She was not sure yet of a permanent location to host it, but for now she decided to focus her efforts on seeking out a potential guest that might join her for a candid convo, and on putting out entertaining and insightful content for the streets.

Donning her coat, she ventured out into the streets of Los Angeles heading to her favourite coffee shop in Hollywood.

If her timing was good, she might suddenly bump into a familiar face or someone whom she knew had ties with the mafia, in which case she would muster up the courage to approach them, look them straight in the eye, turn slightly and give them a warm smile from beneath her picture-frame hat.

And she did just that - when she saw one of Godfather Chong's associates TheOfficeManager in the cafe. The tie he wore gave quite a nice touch to his outfit, which she noticed as she walked towards him. 

"Hi sir! Do you have some time to spare?"

Unfortunately, it seemed that the man was running on a busy schedule, but she was happy to receive his business card and set up an appointment later. On his way out, she caught him taking one last glance at her. She held the card closer to her chest and took a shaky deep breath. Wow, I'm really doing this, she thought to herself. She always had a great passion for doing these kind of social experiments and she really loved to give people a chance to be heard.

She later met up with him and started introducing herself before bringing up the interview questions. She was still in the process of brainstorming more topics to ask future guests about, but she was happy with what she prepared for the first interview. He kicked it into gear by providing some nostalgia for his past.

"So first... what is your name, which crew do you rep, and what's your rank in the family?"

My parents gave me this name, TheOfficeManager. I was took in by the great Godfather Chong at a very young age. My home, as nice as it was, had grown too small for my ambitions. I quickly worked my way up the ranks. I'm currently what is ranked Wise Guy. But promotion is on the horizon I believe. As soon as I tie up some loose ends and dirty work. Any day now I believe!

"What age were you when you first started on these shores?"

That was years ago. Back in 2015, I was still a youngster. No idea of how this world of ours worked. Sure I had some idea, but I learned the ways from a Legend in our world. I quickly began to feel like this was my destiny.

"What drove you to become part of the mafia?"

I always felt like the home I grew up in was too small for a young man who wanted to see and experience more of this world. I quickly learned that this is a dog-eat-dog world. And if you want to have the most chance of success in this life, you have to be the bigger dog. 

"What motivated you to become the mobster you are today?"

My kin had a great teacher before GF Chong. He taught me things like respect, honor and loyalty. He was what some would say of the old ways. It wasn't easy, he was quite demanding (in a good way!). This above all else made me the way I am today. We had some great runs and I will be forever grateful to him!

"Do you remember your first sponsor? Tell me about them and how they helped you."

I feel like for me it's the same answer and the previous question. He was the first man who taught me the rules of Omerta. For that reason, I can't disclose names of the past. It isn't my place. 

"What’s your advice to someone who is looking to join the underground world?"

Listen to the people older than you. Not because of age but because they've been doing this thing of ours for a lot longer than you have. No shame in starting out as a "Thug". But keep your eyes and ears open and ask for help if you want to climb the ladders of this society of ours. Respect, loyalty and honesty only gets you so far though. Make friends, network and involve yourself in things other than crime alone to reach maximum potential!

"Any memorable moments you’d like to share?"

Any moment with the family passing a blunt and whisky bottle are moments I cherish!

"Have you ever considered becoming a leader in this thing of ours? Why or why not?"

I had a long vacation before reaching these shores again. My kin was LH/RH and even CL at some point. I'm an old geezer now and lack the youthly ambition I had when i first reached these shores. I just want to see the family grow and prosper. Any supporting role I can play in this thing of ours will be my honor. It's time to see others reach for glory. GF Chong is living up to all my standards and more. I am merely a pawn in his game. Nothing more, nothing less...

"How do you feel about the current state of the world?"

Honestly I have been living the civilian life for a while now. I still recall a lot of people and structures, but I'm currently not well enough informed to make such statements. Perhaps after I settle in a bit more I'll get back to you on that one.
