Cant see past Belgium or Italy winning it myself.  France probably in with a shout too and you should never write off the Germans; wouldn't be surprised if they went on and won it.

Portugal moved forward with France and Germany in group F. Both fights tonight were really promising and well played, but stronger took theirs.

At the end German takes the cup.

I like Italy.

I believe one of the traditional big 4-5 will get it.

It's always interesting to have an outsider. 

I am hoping for Sweden and Portugal. Sweden has much to prove for now. At least Isak looks really interesting on the pitch.

I managed to get croatia in my sweep stakes so turns out i'm now a croatia fan just so I can win £50... although looking forward to having the games back on tonight

There were no threads about it because the majority of us are aware that soccer is stupid and just a game of dramatic men playing "keep away" for 90 minutes. But now there is a thread, and thus I had to make fun of soccer cuz it is silly.

Italy had looked the team to beat until Austria gave them a scare last night. Looking at the draw and the fact that England could potentially play majority of matches at Wembley. Providing they can get past an average German side then nothing should stop them reaching the Final.

Todays games sound like they could be good.. I'm dreading Tuesday though when we play Germany.. Not looking forward to it at all. But let's have some faith!

Tonight the match is the Netherlands against the Czech Republic and I hope the Netherlands will win. 

If they win tonight, 
I'll give them a good chance to become European Champion.

The tournament is getting so good now that we are in the knockout stages. The so called underdogs are really giving it a good go. The two matches yesterday between Croatia/Spain and France/Switzerland were both fantastic to watch from a neutral point of view.

Is this the part where I can start the "It's coming home" chant?

honestly its one of the craziest years, like all strong teams are getting kicked out, Portugal, Croatia, today Germany too, Italy was close to lose.

Well I honestly thought England werent gonna get very far but after today, I have some faith! I know Germany wasnt exactly at their strongest form, far from it infact, but it was a good showing from our squad. I must admit, Im not the biggest footie fan but it gave me an excuse to have a beer and order takeaway whilst I watched the game so thats a win in my book.

When looking at the teams remaining, along with the way the draw has worked out, it really doesnt seem to far fetched to believe we can reach the final either.

So, as said already, it's coming home.
