Same as several has said, a now sadly ex played and it annoyed me to start but one day decided to look at the 'stupid black screen'. I asked a couple of questions then made an account and the rest is history as they say! It did annoy him enough that I got my for CL position before he did though so you know as he might say, he leanred me well and I would correct him to taught me averagely and I did great all by myself!

I came across this by chance, I searched for mafia on google and found this place.
when i came here it was a war going on i have been told so there was not much help right away.
I got to look around a bit and have decided to try out how it is here

I'd played another game for many many years, which fell into decline. As well as that, I'd felt like I'd achieved everything you could and so decided to move on. This prompted me to look around to find another game, of similar vein and actually, it was looking at the top free games which led me to this one! So I guess voting does make a difference!

i've been playing these mafia based games for forever and came across this one on a voting site...i made an account but couldn't get into it, then i found my old link and started again and i am hooked

So many years ago I was looking for a mobster game, I googled it and came across this one.  Never had any experience with browser based games and stuck around for a bit.  Then a bit turned into a few years with the usual breaks. Fast forward to now it's one of the few games I still play today.

i joined here as the admins didn't care about people cheating on their game, db would get attacked, you complain threatened with a ban or told is no such problem..  Pretty much stopped me from wanting to do anything there due to the admins being mentally deficient and ignorant.

Way back in 2002 (I think) I read about this game in FHM a magazine popular in the UK at the time.

Turns out a mate of mine also played and I got into it through him, he got into it from a mate he worked with.

Of the 3 of us described above 2 of us still click shit on here like monkeys :)

I used to write on Tumblr and the RP community was growing stale there so I decided to go and google other websites for me to write on. I joined this one and enjoyed writing on-and-off for the first five years of my account, never really playing seriously. Then last year a few good people taught me how to actually play and now I barely write, just play the other aspects of the game lol

I was looking for a "different" browser mmo, with not just characters fighting, but some... "dying mechanics", and... apparently I found it.

Why here why now.
