Although on a much smaller scale the condo that  collapse in Surfside,  Florida reminds me of that day the World Trade Center towers collapsed.   It's almost the same helpless feeling I felt then as I watched the first responders digging through the debris trying to save people. 

My heart goes out to the the people missing family members. Still hoping for a miracle for them, that some might be found. 

I couldn't help but feel the same way. I served in the military during 9/11 so I understand, me being more hypervigilant  and wanting to know answers why, researching the wreckage, the stability of the other buildings in Miami, my own safety, safety of others. Thank you for sharing.

Very sad news indeed. I’ve been watching with interest from the other side of the pond, and my thoughts go out to everyone affected, particularly relatives of the residents who are still unaccounted for.
