So my discussion posts as Joald apparently hurt some peoples feelings.

I am not apologizing you were offended by them, and I am even looking for more topics similar to bring to the streets.

Why am I not apologizing for the topics and that you took offense to it.  Before you say you did not, apparently you did the whisper says as much and then there is the offensive way you  people talk to me in the forums.  

I am not apologizing because I did not  direct the discussions at one specific person not once did I say a persons name. I merely brought topics to the streets that some people are sensitive over. 

And you know what now new players to the game know that the topics I brought are a dynamic in this game.  That alone is worth all the misplaced  maltreatment I receive from you people.

So go ahead and take those discussion topics personal, you know what they say if the show fits wear it. 

No ones feelings were hurt by any of your threads. We're just bored of you and your tantrums when people point out the flaws and errors in your arguments. 25 years experince and you still don't know when to just keep your mouth shut.

Since it has been made clear to me that I am not allowed to roleplay nor am I allowed to do discussions.

I will no longer be hosting random trivia with credit prizes, nor will I host anymore player based competitions or financially/Perk  support anymore player based competitions. This well has dried up. 

I thought the streets were about role play. The character who was saying these things was low level, so it is my belief that if someone of low ranking were to start spouting the way Joald did someone would do something about it. So either the character was not RP, or the actions of those characters who allowed these things to be stated was not RP. Please note the deliberate use of the word 'character' and not 'player'.

It was also odd in the one post I engaged with that Joald was asking people who had rogued to tell their stories. How could someone who had rogued tell their story in RP if they were dead? I used what I hoped was an RP way for my character to repsond, Joald's response was to tell my character not to troll, which led me, the player, to believe that you, the player, didn't get it.

As a general comment, not related to your threads although there is evidence of it, references to "ancestors journals" in the streets I find quite frustrating. I know it's tricky to be RP about what a previous character has experienced and how that experience has been passed on to a new character, but 1930s mobsters wring journals in detail of everything that happened to them? Really?

In summary, I believe OOC is an underutilised board.

you’re alive is a key aspect of human existence. It’s how you demonstrate empathy for your fellow human beings. But we also identify with people who are dead, even though they are not, in theory, affected by our thoughts or words or actions.

Squirrelly- Dan if my threads did not hurt feelings then people would actually try to be objective and  engage in conversation and not use ad hominem attacks and false fallacies.  Or send threatening and harassing anon credit messages. 

And that leads to my semi-related point, family journals. Really? I understand that lines can be blurred between the player and the character sometimes, but the notion of family journals I find too far fetched.

I agree I always found it odd that everyone had family journals detailing everything down to their last moments. I don’t know about any of you but I can’t promise I am not vigorously taking note of every interaction I have for the chance it may help my lineage down the line.

Heh, when i went to my deceased fathers grave to retrieve the ' journal ' that i heard so many folks talking about .. i was utterly dismayed to find that someone, some absolute lowlife, had already desecrated his final resting place! . o.0
