Now that Vinnie was a cash wealthy guy and after listening to the sound advice given to him so kindly by GFC Harper about investment for the long term. After careful consideration he had decided to be the new custodian of "Empyrean." It was far too beautiful a place to be just left to rot.

In all honesty there wasn't that much to do to the place as all the fixtures and fittings were in fine working order. He would of course arrange for an electrician to give the place the once over. One thing he was definitely going to do is to redecorate and paint all the walls and ceilings brilliant white. He was tired of dark, dreary walls and curtains. This place lends itself to be bright with all the natural light flowing through the huge windows.

He made some calls to arrange the necessary trades. The call to the sign-makers to arrange new frontage signs and also directional signs at the bottom of the hill and he wanted one extra special sign to be made.

Next was security, He had found a small safe which would be far too inadequate for his needs so he picked up the phone and ordered the biggest , most secure safe he could. After listening to the expert he decided to go for a Combination Floor Safe manufactured by The Schwab Safe Co. of Lafayette, IND.

GFC Harper was kindly loaning him some of her trusted staff from Las Vegas to run the front desk, a chef and Chambermaid for an initial 3 month period so they could train his staff to their exacting standards.

After a couple of weeks of hard work, everything was in place for the grand re-opening.

Vinnie had kept the invitation list small to a selected few as a thank you for all the help they had given him in realizing his dream.

Naturally his Bosses, Bosco, Goku, Odin as well as family members, Chad, Squirrelly-Dan and Duncan. There was one very special guest who he couldn't have done any of this without GFC Harper.

As everyone assembled in the main lobby and Vinnies speech was coming to a close.

"I have one final act to perform as I'm sure you would agree after looking around "The New Empryean Retreat" that it's most stunning feature is the views of Harsen's Island, Lake St. Clair and Port Huron from the open deck wrapped around the property." everyone nodded in agreement as he continued "Therefore I feel it only right and fitting that we acknowledge the previous owner and pay homage to her vision. Ladies and gentleman I present to you..." Pulling the cord on the cover to reveal a sign "Sera's Terrace."

Raising his glass as everyone else did in unison he simply said "To Sera!"

Vinnie then mingled to thank everyone for attending and felt extremely proud of what he had achieved.

Things were starting to come together nicely.....

Harvey arrived in Detroit. As he takes to the streets he remembers a conversation he had with Vincent on his new establishment here in Motown. He makes his way for the place. 

It was a big place but he knew who to talk to. Heading inside, Harvey approaches the reception desk.

"Good morning, Is there a place to grab something to eat here?"

Vinnie concluded his morning meeting with all the heads of department. He was pleased that the reports from his loaned members of staff were extremely promising and that their training was going better than expected. He had a lot to thank GFC Harper for and this kind generosity would be something he would remember for the rest of his days.

Following the staff out of the back office he noticed a familiar face in the reception area and overheard him asking about "Where he could grab something to eat?"

"HarveyDent, How are you my friend? How's the bar doing and when did you get back to Motor City?" Vinnie enquired.

"I'll take things from here Ramone." he directed at his receptionist whilst putting his arm around HarveyDent.

"Come join me on "Sera's Terrace." The food is even better than the views!" he told his friend as he escorted him to his private table, which had the most amazing uninterrupted views over Lake St. Clair to your left and Port Huron straight ahead.

As they were seating themselves  a pot of coffee and 2 cups were placed on their table. A menu was supplied to the guest as Vinnie knew it back to front now.

"So, tell me, how have you been and how is the bar going?" he asked.
