paul walked the streets of his new country, looking for some work.
It is not easy to feed the family without a job in these times, so he hoped that there were some jobs down by the quay.
After looking for work for a few days, Paul began to see if it might be easier to start snatching some bags from people to get some money.

paul tried it sometimes but it did not give much money at a time, so he had to see if there were other ways to get more money.
He had heard that some families were involved in crime and wondered how he could get in touch with some of them ?

Paul had talked to several people around the streets to get in touch with some of those who could make life a little easier for Paul and his family.
After finding someone who could help him, he took the courage to get in touch with them to see if they could help him.
He had thought a lot about what he was willing to do to have a better life, and he came to the conclusion that he could do quite a lot for a better life.

Squirrelly-Dan was walking through the streets, just taking everything in as he tried to accustom himself to the new world.  A wave of wars and rogues had just swept through the country, leaving many mobsters dead and many others searching for identity.  He noticed a young gangster going through the streets trying to find his way, like so many others.

"That's Paul_with_a_p , you say?  Wells I's appreciates your directness.  I had always wondered if it was Paul with a W - but yous makes it clear.  You're coming through this world at the right time to establish yourself, my friend.  Many crew leaders are looking for loyal and hardworking gangsters.  I'd suggest you reach out and ask a few questions and starts a few conversations to see what's a fit for you. Before long, people without a family who choose a life of crime become what's known as "target practice", and that's not good for your overall health."

Squirrelly-Dan was shaking.  He needed a beer.  Off he went.

After a while, Paul began to feel more comfortable in his new country, he had gotten some jobs and had started earning a living.
He and his family had found a small apartment in New York and made some new friends for the children and his wife.

paul was very busy with his new job so he was not as much at home as he had wanted, but it was more important now in the beginning to build up some money that they could have for worse times.

paul and his family had some tough years in the old country before they got across the sea to start again, so it was possible to have money for all the meals and not just for a few days a week

It's actually starting to get pretty good here now

"Hey, paul_with_a_p, I'm really glad you've found your way. I had seen you down here wandering before and just didn't have the time to stop to say Hi. I've been real busy with my new shop. I hope you enjoy your time in this country of ours."

Bryan continued on his way, enjoying the beautiful day after what has been a terrible week.
