(This is being cross posted from a massmail to ensure that even dead accounts at the time of the mail can read it when they come back)

After investigating two HQ wacks by a user that said they didn't do it, we found some fishy activity. Further investigation has revealed that another game that a few of you frequent has had security issues which has lead to their password/email addresses being compromised.

We have been working hand in hand with the other game and obtained an email list of all their users. We are currently marking all matching emails on our system to force a password change upon their next login.

While we do everything in our power to keep our system secure, we can only be as secure as the the weakest link. That is you. I can't stress enough how important it is to use a unique password on every site that you go to. Using the same password on more than one site causes a security risk on every site that that you visit.

Another game had their email/passwords compromised. Some of them used the same login/passwords here. Please use a different password for all sites so that other sites issues don't creep into our backyard and get our users killed :)
