Background Story:

Leonardo is a second generation Irishman who was born into poverty. His father worked long hard hours in the dockyards of New York to scrape every nickel and dime he could to support the family, but some days it just wasn't enough. And then, the great depression swept through America leaving the family without work. Leo's father knew they couldn't be without money for long and that was when he took out a loan that would cost him his life. A local loan shark gave the man ten thousand dollars but without a job, Leo's father was unable to pay back the debt and within a few months, he was kidnapped and never seen again.

This left Leo as head of the household at just the young age of seventeen, his mother was unable to work due to declining health conditions, so he was forced to leave school in search of work to support her and his kid sister, Eithne Ryan, it wasn't long before he realized the struggles his father had been going through, jobs were just nowhere to be found right now. That was until the day Leo decided to head down to that same pool hall his father went in search of a loan, only this time, he didn't ask for a loan.. he went looking for work, and work he found.

Since then, Leonardo has been working for a small gang in New York that offers Loan Sharking, with Leo the main enforcer. But he still wants more for himself, and for his life and younger sister who is now quickly following in his footsteps...
