Out of the blue! Started by: The_Mold on Jul 11, '11 14:13

Good day people! I know i am not yet highly respected, i am just a young man trying to make my way in this world.
But i have one question... i was wondering why someone would send me a letter asking me to join his family?
I mean... a letter from a total stranger, who did'nt even ask me who i was and where i was from?
I am not going to mention any names, i am smarter than that. But i was just curious and
i was wondering what you respectable people though about it. Just a question out of the blue.

I think this sounds familiar...

If you're being sincere; they are trying to help a new character learn the ways of the world. Otherwise, if this is who I think this is, give it a rest.

I just hope it wasn't SexyBeast.

That guy is the worst kind of predator. He should be avoided at all costs.

Be grateful, The_Mold, that you haven't encountered that horrible specimen first hand. It would ruin you.

...like it has ruined us all.

Chuckle shudders.

To answer your question, families are short on new blood and any fresh face on the street who displays any interest in our walk of life is mercilessly recruited. This is because they get the benefit of having another body earning for them and in exchange they protect him and offer him the opportunity to succeed.

Some of us, like myself, consider this an unseemly practice, preferring instead to allow the family itself to do the talking. I would suggest that you consider careful who you wish to join and evaluate the families on their merits as to who would be most suitable for you and what you would like to achieve.

The choice is entirely up to you and hopefully you'll have plenty of chance to fester wherever you go.

Don't join SexyBeast though.

The_Mold looks at WhereWasI and is a little puzzled...

I guess somebody has already bought this subject up before and you seem to be confusing me with somebody else. Honestly, i am freshly off the boat and just though of asking this question to see what others though about it. But if this has already been debated, i am truly sorry for bringing it up again.

The_Mold stands aside a little uneasy about this situation...

And, after Chuckle's lovely speech comes the talent portion, and the swimsuit competition, and finally the eveningwear competition, all of which I would win.

Mr. Pickles walks away to applause.  Not because he's leaving like the applause Chuckle hears.

The_Mold looks at Chuckle and totaly agree's with him. He will take his time in choosing a family, but he has a very good idea on who to choose. After all, he is hard working and will join a hard working family. And hard working family are not that hard to find in this world. You just need to keep your ears open and follow your instincts. Thankyou for your though Mr.Chuckle... you are very kind and i will make good note on your recommendations.

The_Mold tips his hat to Mr.Chuckles!

What can I say? I'm a giver.

Chuckle was grateful that Pickles walked away before the swimsuit competition. The sight of his tremendous, yellow bulk, squeezed into a pair of Speedo's so tight that they looked painted on, was something he could do without.

Pickles runs back up . . .

Is that why you don't own a mirror, Chuckle?

Pickles walks away again.

Report Post Tip

The_Mold can hardly wait for the swimsuit competition, it is surprising the things one can learn in the streets. This surely will entertain him while he waits!

Report Post Tip

I don't own a mirror to keep me humble.

Being such a magnificent specimen as I am is tough enough - having a mirror and the option to stare lovingly into my beautiful eyes too?

I'd never get any work done.

But honestly people... what is more atractive than good old mold?

Pickles runs back up AGAIN

Perhaps you could benefit from a visit to the opthamologist!

Pickles starts walking off again, but realises he might have to come back to denounce Chuckle yet again, so he just waits . . .

Report Post Tip

Chuckle remained stationary for the duration of his conversation with Pickles. The other man was going back and forth like a yo-yo, his desperation to be around Chuckle, to look upon his majestic face and bask in his reflected glory, overpowering his natural instincts to walk away and hide in a dark crevice. Such was the natural instincts of the rodent.

Such a visit would only allow me to enhance my vision of my wonderful self and I can assure you, like the rest of old Chuckle, his eyesight is flawless.

Chuckle tosses Pickles a quarter.

Buy yourself a picture of me to take with you. It'll save you coming back to look at me again.

He watches as Pickles attempts to use one of his yellow, semi-circular claws to catch the coin. He fails miserably, fumbling it like a girl.

Impressive.

Report Post Tip

Pickles pockets the quarter . . . hey, it's free money . . .

Fumbling it like a girl?  Most women are very good at taking money.  But, wait . . . it's hard for the women you associate with to pick up money when they've got baby oil all over themselves and reek of shame and desperation!

Report Post Tip

That's no way to describe your mother!

Report Post Tip

Don't judge how my mother pays the bills!  Besides, your mother is my mother's understudy!
