To this I say, as long as you do not permit your children to smoke unsupervised there should be no problem whatsoever.

The smoking isn't cool myth.

Taking her lunch break in the local park, Charlotte looked up as the man began to speak. It was curious, how some were so for cigarettes and some were so against it. Herself, she was against it, and just for a bit of fun she put marked her page with her bookmark and tucked the reading material away before getting to her feet. She paused for a moment to brush the bits of dirt and grass off her skirt before walking up to the man. 

"I'm intrigued," she said to him once she got closer. "All around these streets you see people smoking, as if they need to do it as part of who they are. Is there really such a short supply of those under street lamps wearing fedoras that you need to dispel any so called myths?" Charlotte started pointed out people and counting, as she saw them talking, smoking, walking, smoking, standing, smoking, robbing, smoking. "If anything, even if you came out here to say it smelled bad, it made kissing you taste like an ashtray, your teeth turned yellow or your entire house would be covered in sticky residue, people would still smoke because they have nothing else to do with their hands." 

They are not addicted Charlotte, that is yet another myth conjured up by conspiracy theorists.

The simple reason they continue to smoke is that the ecstasy it provides is unrivalled by any other product currently availible and socially acceptable.

smoking, addiction, myths, well Trevor was all too familiar with the first two but the fact of it being a myth was beyond him he had been addicted to smoking in the past he was a two pack per day man but now he had stopped completely people usually offered at party's but he always had to kindly decline because it always starts as one and then its a slippery slope back to two packets per day so he steered clear away from them and the idea that they were good for you well, Trevor was a fast runner still is but now he cant run distance for shit the years of smoking the tobacco and all the added crap had fucked with his stamina, he was going running to try and build it back up again but It wasn't easy as he had to keep stopping when he quit his hands felt like they always needed something to do so he ended putting on a little bit of timber eating chips and sunflower seeds all day but now he was also trying to cut down on those. "No offence billy but I've never heard this much shit in my life" spitting out a sunflower seed shell Trevor was off on his way.

Vinnie was usually averse to any kind of confrontation and preferred to keep his own counsel. However on overhearing some lunatic trying his best (poorly it must be said) to convince anyone that would listen that Smoking was absolutely fine.

"You wouldn't catch me smoking one of those cancer sticks." He bellowed before taking another deep draw on his Small Cuban Cigar. He continued "See this?" he said pointing to his hand holding the cigar, "This is natural untreated tobacco. Heaven knows what chemicals they put in those things you are trying to condone."

Getting quite agitated now, he took another puff before continuing, "Let me give you a demonstration to prove my theory here." At which point he took another draw on his cigar and put it on the ground. At the same time he beckoned for the instigator to do likewise with his cigarette and within less than a minute, the cigar had extinguished itself. Whereas the cigarette kept burning for another few minutes until it reached its filter.

"See!" he shouted triumphantly. "What crap must be mixed in with the tobacco to make it keep burning?" No-one responded.

Moral of the story is this. "If you must smoke, then only smoke good cigars!" and with that he tipped his hat to the people who had stayed to watch his demonstration before heading off for something to eat.

Sliding a cigarette out of his Lucky brand box, he smiled and brought it to his lips. He slid a match across the brick wall and lit his cigarette, taking a puff and pulling it from his lips.

Lucky brand really has been a stable for many years, I remember seeing my folks with em and these same packs lying around everywhere.

For me, I'll always stick to the good stuff and that's these here Lucky cigarettes.

Ejsner takes another drag as he pulls his hood up and steps back onto the sidewalk. 

She was ready to point out that she had never stated anyone was addicted, just that she thought people weren't quite sure what to do aside from smoke when trying to speak to others, or make a point or take some sort of dramatic pause. She opened her mouth to say just that when the man she had been speaking to pulled out a gun and blew his very own brains out right in front of her. With a scream she jumped back, but the damage was done, blood and brain matter spattered her clothes, face and hair and she felt the bile rising in her throat. "Don't throw up, Charlie, don't you fucking dare." she thought to herself as she took another step back, looking around to see if anyone else was going to do anything. But no, they just stood around smoking. Of course. 

She was shaking when she held out her hand to one of the people, "Give me one," she said finally caving to the fact that perhaps there might be something to this entire smoking thing, as they didn't appear to give a single fuck about the corpse that laid near them, the gore they may be flecked with or the smell of iron from his blood. Not that they could smell it, what with the cloud of smoke surrounding them. "Please, I will take one cigarette." she said again, voice small and shaking with confusion, fear and something a bit like panic.
