With every new contestant that the judged dragged into the talent competition, one more person was vying for the coveted most mentioned name, and I guess first place too, but the Freak didn't give a fuck about that. With every comedic routine and juggling act, there were plenty of people that were sure to push him lower on the 'other mentions' list and that just would not do-- he had spent so much money on bribes and there was not a single lick of promotion being thrown his way for his efforts. "Something must be done, Tilde." Tilde being his prized pomeranian he bought last week to fully convey his heel turn into being quite the devious talent show villain. While he continued attempting to pull off the best maniacle laugh that he could muster, the dog yapped in that really annoying way that tiny dogs do. It was a match made in Hell, which is where he would surely end up after his demise given that he would be taking it upon himself to completely trick and confound everyone and anyone who attempted to join the talent show from this point forward; creating a perfect replica of the talent show floors was simple enough and switching the giant "This way" sign to where his was instead of Aardvark's only took a single second of cartoonishly evil work. PROPHETIC AARDVARK PRESENTS HIS VERY REAL AND NOT AT ALL FAKE TALENT CONTEST The sign was a bit on the nose and might give it away, but there wasn't time to think up something better as he had to act fast before more contestants begun piling up and taking the spotlight from him. They did not know it yet, but the Greek Freak had just ensured that he stay as relevant as ever in the underground talent competitions. Dressed up in an Aardvark suit, he sat at the judges table with mannequins he had stolen from one of those fancy clothing establishments in the business district who would act as his three completely real judges. His one year spent in ventriloquy school would serve him well today as he would be playing the part of all of them, and now that the trap was set all he had to do was wait. Which rube would accidentally sign up for his fake talent show first, he wondered? This was his best ploy yet and the admiration he would receive when finishing in at least sixth place in the real competition would make this all the better. "So who's up next to show off their talents?" he laughed... maniacally. |

She woke up with a start, her arms tied behind her where she was sat in the chair. "Wh..what?" she asked looking around her eyes wide. It couldn't be happening, she had learned her lesson the first time. Caution was her middle name now, no longer was it Elizabeth. No, she had it legally changed, or at least planned on doing it and maybe thats why she found herself held captive in the chair her eyes moving around franticlly while she struggled. Her movements were useless, she wasn't going to escape. Charlotte's mouth moved silently as she said a prayer, not sure what she was praying for or to who, but she hoped at some point someone would hear her. Her movements to free herself from her bindings was futile, and as she rocked the chair started to tip, and before she could regain her balance, the chair crashed over onto its side causing her to hit her head. Her eyes fluttered closed, and she was unconcious once more. When she finally regained conciousness, she realized someone had righted her chair, if she had fell. Had she fell? Was she losing her mind? She had been here before. She knew this table. This stage. These lights. The smell. And where prayers did not work before, she hoped screams of suffering and pleas for help would stop the madness. So as the first stand up comedian took the the stage, papers in hand before tapping the mic, "Boy, I just flew in and are my arms tired!" they said, pausing with a raised eyebrow expression. Her hell had been realized, she would never be free. She struggled harder and when the ropes started to burn into her skin she tilted her head back and let out a primal scream. |

It had been many days now since he had opened it up, and yet no one had entered his fake talent show competition, which meant either one of two things:
"I'm going to need to enter my own fake competition; this is the only way I can convince the others that it is legitimate." it wasn't his smartest idea, but at the same time, it was far from his worst as this entire fake talent show could attest to that. He racked his brain for at least four minutes while attempting to come up with the perfect act, and then his eureka moment happened. Putting on his hiking boots had taken only a moment; most of the time was spent removing the tags from them. While Charlotte was playfully messing around with her bindings, the other judges seemed to be sitting there perfectly still as good mannequins were trained to do, and then the magnum opus of the Freak's life began. "Today, folks, I will dazzle and astound you," he placed his feet up against the makeshift talent show's wall and grasped at the annoyingly soft surface. The grips on the hiking boots weren't helping much either, as he continuously attempted to climb over the wall, clawing at it to no avail in an effort that was proving to be all in vain. "Come on now, dammit. I'm going to climb this thing." It would have been a lot easier had he not spent less than an hour crafting the entire place, seeing as how set design was not his forte; it was proven all the more tragic when it began collapsing in on itself due to the sheer force from his hands and feet being placed against what amounted to a series of pieces of cardboard all taped to the other. While everything tumbled down around him, he could only stare in shock and horror. Damn. It would take at least five minutes to fix this place back up to its former glory. |
