Dagda was sitting alone in his forest sanctuary, meditating on a tree stump. The area surrounding him was hazy with incense smoke and greenish light filtering down through the leaves. He was at peace here, no one and nothing could bother him. Or so he thought.

Dagda was jerked out of his reverie by the noises of someone crashing through the underbrush nearby, clearly in great haste. Very few people had access to his sanctuary, so Dagda was caught quite off guard. It was Carmen, and she was clearly quite agitated.

"DAGDA! Bosco took godfather over a day ago, you were supposed to make a speech!!! We can't start drinking until you make your speech!" She exclaimed, clearly quite upset over the latter part. Dagda did not jump up, he was quite aware that he was well beyond late to this function.

"Am I later than Extos was to McCreary's celebration?" He asked. Carmen nodded and added, "Much, much later."

"Good. I won't be outdone by the likes of him. The time has come for my elegant entrance." He smiled and stood up, extending his arm to her as an escort. "Let us make haste to the concrete jungle and wish him well."

Roughly half an hour later, Dagda stood at the front of a small ballroom they had rented in Bricktown, with a crowd of well-wishers gathered around him. Bosco stood next to him waiting patiently, looking only slightly annoyed that this had taken so long. Everyone in the crowd had a glass of champagne. Carmen had already snuck in three glasses since they'd arrived.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are here today to celebrate the coronation of Godfather Chairman Bosco. It has been a long journey for our glorious leader, with humble beginnings back in Philadelphia long ago. Bosco served my father exquisitely, and it has been my one true purpose in life to return that favor to him. He is a man of purity and his dedication to his people is paramount. I pity the fool who would bet against him. 

It is my pleasure to present him here to you all, as The One True Lord of Detroit, hallowed be thy name."

He raised a glass in a toast (not Qui-Gon-Jinn) and indicated the others should do the same.

"Long live Bosco!"

Dagda drained his glass and went out into the crowd to mingle, careful to keep an eye out for Brutus, who would surely be needing a bonking before long.

After all the stress of not being able to drink and celebrate the ascension of her boss properly, when Dagda made his great speech, Carmen finally feels relieved and also a little light headed and emotional from all the champagne (and also from so much incense that she inhaled at Dagda's sanctuary). She takes a moment to absorb this huge happening and with the realization of that, some tears fill her eyes.

She wipes them discretely hoping no one notices it. Then she smiles. From real happiness and with the thought of all the things that her family went trough, knowing that this is a much well deserved celebration. She then proudly joins the cacophony of voices echoing congratulations to her Godfather:

"Long live Bosco!"

She empties her champagne and as if knowing what to expect of her, Brutus appeared at her side holding two full glasses. She takes one glass from his hand and nods, giggling, knowing that this night of celebration was only beginning.

Squirrelly-Dan had become accustomed to the lateness of the Dagda line.  So - it was completely expected that his news to the masses would be belated.  Nonetheless, this was a celebratory day for Bosco and one that was earned - beyond a shadow of a doubt.

"Well, I thinks there's lots to bes learned from this.  Bosco - You grew up with my father.  You grew old and he unfortunately perished.  I am happy to pick up where he left off and be a small contributor to your success here.  Shoresy and you stood shoulder to shoulder in a few battles - mostly drunk, stoned and fucking completely tired - but here you are.  You made it, my friend.  I couldn't be prouder of you.  Please know that you've earned my loyalty through your actions and you're a leader we can all be proud of."

Squirrelly-Dan hacks a dart and cracks a cold puppers in the legacy of his forefathers and goes back to sitting on his ass by the produce stand.

Turco watched Bosco from a distance. That was his night, the Godfather Chairman of Detroit. The celebrations were fantastic - good food and strong booze. Turco was having a wonderful time. A few drinks later, he decided to approach the Chairman and steal a bit of his time.

"Godfather Bosco. What a great honor it is to watch you occupy such a deserved seat. I know you worked really hard and went through a lot to get where you are now. I'm happy to be a part of your trajectory because I know that under your command, Detroit will achieve great things. Congratulations."

Shaking the chairman's hand firmly and respectfully, he walked away. There were still too many people to talk to him and Turco didn't want  to stop them.

Jacqueline was intown visiting Detroit to admire the growth of the city which felt not so long ago was empty and lifeless. Overhearing someone making a speech, whilst getting scolded in process,  she couldn't help but chuckle.

Standing back with a cigarette lit as people congratulated Godfather Bosco, awaiting for the opportunity to do so, giving familiar faces a nod hello till she had a clear shot to approach the Godfather Chairman.

"Congratulations Godfather Bosco" bowing her head respectfully a warm smile on her face "truly deserved it's been a pleasure to watch your journey, I look forward to seeing how you transform this city"

Reaching out towards a waitress with a tray of wine on a tray clasping one bringing it to her lips as she toasted "Godfather Bosco of Detroit to a long and prosperous future"
