Is it unusual for a thug who is the son of a famous and well known mobster to have a small fortune? I don't think so.

I don't think it will skew the system either, bodyguards are available for those who have the money. If someone chooses to make plans for their next of kin, then more fool you for not following suit.

As I walk through the street, kicking a stone along the ground, I see an excited group of three well dressed youths leaving a large, shiny building. They're all wearing suits and top hats, I look down at my busted up jeans, old brown trainers with holes in and a T-shirt too small for me.

I approach the group and am stopped by one of their many bodyguards, a huge chunk of a man who's hand is the firmly wrapped around my face and is escorting me out of the way.

Then I hear a chirpy voice.

"It's OK, let him through."

It was one of the youths taking pity on me. The bodyguard squeezes my face in an unspoken warning before letting me through.

I see now the youth who let me through, he's sporting a flashy suit, new suede shoes and a platinum made watch. He's looking at me waiting for me to speak.

"Hello Sir, can I ask what's going on?"

He looks at his two friends, then back at me with a grin.

"Insurance! In-fucking-surance my man! Thanks to my old man, I'm a millionaire!"

Confused, I look at the others, who are both nodding."

"Did you dad not bother to insure?"

Embarrassed, I think of my dad, the alcoholic "professional" gambler who.

"No, I don't think he did."

The pity returns in their face and I leave without waiting for a retort.
