The game keeps track of how many Rogue/ttes that crewed members get within the past 7 days.  It periodically displays a leaderboard on #main in lounge which displays how the top 10 crews are doing.  It then picks one of the top 10 crews and gives a random member a hustle point for their crews placement.  The higher up on the list, the better chance you have.  (1st will win more often than 2nd, which will win more often than 3rd... which will win more than 8th.. and so on)

This is a rolling 7 days of data, which means that the kill that happened 7 days and 3 minutes ago is no longer counted, it only cares about what has happened within the last 7 days.

The scoring doesn't show exact numbers for privacy reasons, it shows how far off a crew is from overtaking the next place.  In the above example, Odin is in 1st place, Ganou is 26 kills behind Odin, Bosco is 41 kills behind Odin, Catalina is 162 kills behind Odin, and then we stop at 10th place to make it a tad harder to keep track of just how many extra thousands of kills the top guys get over the bottom guys.  

Sooo long story short, random members from the top 10 crews get additional hustle points, those points being distributed at a higher rate biased to the higher placing crews.  See how competitive your crew is compared to others and track your progress as you gain and close the gap on the less organized crews who can't compete on the same level!
