Beach Day Started by: Lissa on Aug 24, '21 13:51

"Boat bought Shelby?" Lissa asked her bodyguard.

He merely rolled his eyes at the question before his face split into a grin. He knew Lissa always questioned things, but also knew that he was her favourite choice because he always did as he was told. Grabbing her bag, they headed towards the boat.

Their gift for her favourite animal already tucked below deck.

Leaving the bag near one of the seats for her, he went to start up the boat. She settled in a chair and began to watch the water. The longer they were out to sea, Lissa became restless. Her patience wearing thin as she tried to settle her nerves.

"Hopefully I get to pet just one." Lissa called out.

They were very far from the coast now. She got up and motioned for Shelby to stop the boat. There was no one around and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The ocean was calm and she leaned over to take a peek. Steadying herself on the railing. She watched the water for awhile before slipping across the deck to get a mixture of fish and blood. A little at a time, she put some of the mixture into the water.

About fifteen minutes later, she could see the beautiful creatures swimming alongside the boat. Her face lit up and she smiled across at Shelby. Nearly clapping her hands in excitement.

"Beautiful creatures, eh Shel?"

"Gorgeous, like you ma'am."

Lissa blushed at the compliment but turned her head back to the graceful bodies of the sharks beside them. Shelby knew better but she would let him have a poke at her this time. She was too enthralled by the sharks now.

"Get their present, I think they are ready now."

Lissa stood up as Shelby brought the body towards the rail. Together they tossed it overboard and watched. The sharks attention were not on them, but on the large food source they had just gotten. The man wasn't entirely dead, but now he would be. A smile curved her lips. She leaned forward and brushed her fingertips along one of the sharks backs.

He didn't notice and she smiled. Triumphant in her feat.

"I did it! I didn't even lose an arm."

Laughing, she watched until every last shark had left the area. Then she motioned for Shelby to take them back to shore.

Lissa's beach day had been worth the day away from the city.

Sitting back in the chair, with her feet up and a smile on her lips, she smiled all the way home. She had seen and touched a shark. No one else she knew could say they had ever done that.
