| Failed heist on a rainy day | Started by: Dangerous on Sep 01, '21 11:24 |

Mike walked over the slippery pavement near one of the casino's. It didn't rain this morning, no it poured out of the skies. He had his hands deep in the pockets of his raincoat. It was a decent, long raincoat, but against this rain... He was still soaked from earlier today. A failed truck heist just south of Vegas, a broken car and to top it off? He lost his father just a few days ago. He and his old man were in the same "profession" so to say, but he hardly spoke or saw him. He knew his old man travelled across the country regularly, but not that much in Vegas. "Vegas was to loose your money and not to earn". He grimaced. He was starting to think his old man was right after all. I mean, Mike didn't fare too bad, but it was nothing compared to tales he had heard when he was young. He stopped near the entrance of a casino, where he had a little bit of shelter. He reached inside his pocket to get a pack of cigarettes and was happy to see he had a few left that were not wet. He tossed the wet ones out of the pack and brought one cig to his mouth. What a life.. what a life... He murmured, before lighting his cigarette and inhaled deeply. He closed his coat again and started walking. Where? He didn't know yet. He would see where his feet were bringing him today. Hopefully the long walk would bring him some good ideas or opportunities, but first.. where did it go wrong this morning? What made the heist to a failure? Did someone rat them out?... |

| Report Post | Tips: 6 / Total: $830,000 Tip |
Earlier that dayMike and his gang had prepared everything. From start to finish. This was as easy as it was going to get. They received a tip around two weeks ago that money was being transported out of the city more frequently. Usually it was once a week, usually on sundays really late in the night. But now.. Every two days at the least, sometimes every day. Something was going on. How did all the money come into the city? That wasn't really their concern, because money could come from thousands of people, but eventually, it ended up in ONE place. ONE car to be precise. And Mike and his team were planning on grabbing that car and the contents of it. If the rumour was right, it would be a nice 6 million dollars. Split six ways, that would total of 1 million each. It would mean the biggest score of their careers! He inhaled the cold night's air. It was nearly sunrise and they were all soaked by the rain. Cold and wet, two things they all hated. They couldn't even properly smoke a cigarette. Mike checked his gun again, maybe for the twentiest time in the past hour. The truck should drive out of town every minute now. It was never late, always on the same time. He also thought back of the death of his late father, earlier that week. The funeral would be tomorrow. He wasn't looking forward too it. A voice shook him from his memories "Mike, get ready, our money is coming, our money is coming!" He smirked. They were enthusiastic. Cold hard cash. He nodded to his team, all were still in position as the truck came their way and slowed down for the corner they were at. Their car was blocking the road and the truck had to slow down. Also because there were 6 guns aimed at the truck now. Mike went to the driver's side of the car and said, Mike got nothing but a cold stare back from the driver who did nothing but rest his hands on the wheel. You could see the sweat drip from his forehead. This was going to be easy. But.. why was he now feeling a cold piece of metal against his neck? He looked at one of his mates from the corner of his eye, and noticed Jimmy was holding his hands up. "How about you lower yours as well and step aside? This truck is ours." Or it wasn't a set-up.. but one of the families of Vegas! He knew when he was beat and dropped his head. Mike looked lost. That was his car. Right.. erm.. I don't know what to say guys.. I'm sorry. His shoulders dropped down, beaten, devastated about not getting the money. I didn't expect.. this! Let's.. well, I don't know. Let's just go home and take a shower. I'll get to all of you tomorrow, I need to think this through. With those words, Mike turned around and started walking. Walking towards the lights and the awakening city. Beaten by one of the families he had hoped to join one of these days... |
