| What's I thinks we can all learn from this. | Started by: Squirrelly-Dan on Sep 02, '21 13:51 |

@Squirrelly-Dan had just finished his second carton of darts and third case of Puppers after a hard few days. He'd lost many close friends in the Donnybrook that had transgressed. When the white flag was finally waved, there was far too much blood on the ground. Nonetheless, as is the custom in the criminal underworld - It was a new dawn and a time for opportunity and prosperity.
As the last remaining member of the LetterKenny Crew in the criminal underworld, Squirrelly-Dan had fond memories of Wayne and the crew from days gone past. Ironically, He had found his fat ass in a decidedly northern upper structure where speed was the name of the game....
Let's just pump the fuckin' brakes here. There was no doot aboot it that @Squirrelly-Dan was not speedy. But - as with everything he did his best.
@Dagda had come calling on his old friend to move over from Detroit with him. Dan had started in Detroit under the recently deceased @Bosco and gotten to know @Dagda, which at times can be right unfortunate. When @Sonic set up his family in Bricktown, @Squirrelly-Dan took the opportunity to move over and be right hand for the speedster. Good times rolled, and lessons were learned - which had him prepared for the next progression.
That opportunity happened to come in Manhatten. A district. @Squirrelly-Dan had decided to pay homage to all of his predecessors and give it a decidedly northern touch. With that, he went Out for a Rip and found himself an old Tim Horton's coffee shop. After a few conversions, which obviously included a row of TV's to watch hockey games in unison, and a fridge that was full of Puppers, bacon and produce. He thought it looked good to go. The only thing left to do was address the crowd.
"Ladies and fellas - I, @Squirrelly-Dan will be moving over to NY to assume the role of acting Godfather. I think what we have in this city is a very unique opportunity. I can't remember a time when people who warred for 4 days put their differences aside and began to build things up again. This is unchartered territory, and I'm honoured to play a role in it. I want to commend Don @Garou for providing me with this chance and I want to say I'm ready to move forward with the "New" New York. I thinks we can all learn that sometimes peace is what's best for all."
@Squirrelly-Dan lit up a dart and took a swig of his Puppers before putting on his toolbelt and getting to work on the new HQ. |

I fully agree that what happened was a remarkable feat and I feel it shows, although I am unaware of the contents of the definition, wisdom that issues were put aside for New York to become New New York, as you named it. Consent is a thing I could never achieve myself, back when I shortly was Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury, back in England, a position I claimed after buying votes. But maybe I am going slightly off topic here. In short, I would love to offer you a bottle of champagne to celebrate your arrival, but I may have given it to some of the best my many hunting dogs. Great to see New New York grow. Right here and right now, I will down this bottle of port to celebrate your arrival, Squirrelly-Dan. I hope you will lead the city to a long-lived peaceful periods with many juicy incidents. After all, the people want port and games. At least I do. Porto et circenses! |

@Squirrelly-Dan - there seems to be no "doot" that you're Scotch. Are you a Scotch person? I'm a humble person. Sometimes accused of Scotchness. |

Dan, I took a vow of sobriety some time ago. I don't have Scotch whisky, and definitely no Scotch eggs. Just Scotch friends. And enemies. |

As Relentless was walking around in the District, he could see a gathering happening with a few familiar faces and high ranking officials. As he walked over there he could see it was an inaugration for something big happening. Squirrelly-Dan had been appointed as Acting GFC For NY. "A Hearty Congratluations Squirrelly-Dan. Its been some tough past few days, and when you say "We lost friends". Amen to that, I can only emphasis on the losses everyone had that day. But after a war comes a road of rebuild and peace. Hope to see NY back to its glory days as it was and for many more adventures that will come its way" Here is a bottle of Jameson! For many more of these to come" |

Mojito was making her way through the streets of New York, the air was still a bit warm as the summer season was still about. The air itself had this weird aroma to it. It was a mixture of.... she put her nose to the air to take in another smell but it was just something that she couldn't put her finger on. Whatever it was, it wasn't pleasant. Nonetheless she kept on her trek, really she only had one thing in mind. Pancakes at Monster's in Brooklyn. This was Brooklyn, right? She thought to herself for a moment, questioning the fact of where she actually was. New York was quite the big city and for the life of her, she had no idea where she was. To proud to ask for directions, she just kept her head down and kept walking. Block after block, each one the smell in the air getting worse... She thought for a moment to turn around and try a different direction but something was telling her to keeping going and this is what she did. Wasn't much longer until she came across a crowd of people. A bit intrigued, Mo quietly made her way over. She squeezed through a little gap and listened to what the man had to say. He mentioned her boss Dagda and he mentioned that he was taking over the reigns in Manhattan. "Manhattan, dammit... I knew I should have asked for directions." She muttered to herself, taking a deep breath of that nasty air and propped herself up to listen to the rest of his speech. She debated slipping away after he was done talking but for some reason she decided to stay, decided to congratulate him. As patiently as she could, she waited until there was an opening. "Squirrelly-Dan you say, huh? Doubt you will know who I am but I wanted to express my congratulations to you. I'm sure you will do wonderful things here in Manhattan." She gave him a smirk and a nod. "Oh, by the way, can you direct me back to Brooklyn." The look he gave her would have scared the hell out of any little kid, made her twitch ever so slightly. He lifted his big hand in the air, pointing it in the direction she had just come from. Biting her tongue and letting out a sigh, she gave him a nod. "Thank you and again, congratulations." |
