My grandfather, and my father, Leonard and Leonard_Cohen, have both been murdered.  One by Garou, for $5m, and the other by who knows who and for God knows what.

All three of us practised humility.  Between the three of us, we chalked up a single killing, of a man who frankly was so miserable he welcomed death.

It seems, for some crazy reason, that some in this world will attack the humble.  They are in pain.  Hurt people, hurt people, and that's the truth.

I will not walk the path of bitterness or hatred.  I forgive the killers.  I forgive the vendetta creators.  I forgive the havoc creators, and the lowly of intellect.  For they have their own story, and for whatever reason, my father and grandfather dominated their psyches.

What gifts a man to kill another for no good reason?  What satisfaction can enduring resentment bring?

These are far from bland questions, and apply to the persecution of the Leonards.

I humbly ask to be allowed to live the life that my father and grandfather wished to live.

I ask McCreary and Marsh and @Qui-Gon-Jinn and Touch_Of_Evil and Luna and Peter-Gangi to use their status, power, prestige and sense of honour to send the word out that relentlessly killing the Leonards is not good for the Streets, this society, the assailants self-esteem, or the sense of good honour and values that constitutes the backbone of this thing of ours.

A degen from up country hears the young man pontificating in the streets and is impressed by his calm demeanor, in light of the tragedies that were recently inflicted upon his loved ones...

"First of all, please accept my condolences for your loss. It must be very difficult to lose two loved ones in such a short period of time. You seem to be a very philosophical man to explore the psyches of the killer(s), when most men would be frothing at the mouth and seeking vengeance. It is truly a tortured soul who cannot let go of resentments, whether those resentments were earned or fabricated in their own minds. We should not be angry at them. Instead, they should have our pity. What a terrible existence it must be to go through life angry at the world, and especially at those named Leonard. It begs the question, is a life like that worth living? Were they denied love as children? Were their parents related, like, BEFORE they were married? These questions might never be answered, and it is ok if they are not. My only concern is that the bloodlust be satisfied so that the streets can go back to enjoying some deep investigative journalism."

Sled_Ted - but I was creating a newspaper the likes of which this world hasn't seen.

Will writers, editors, journalists and philosophers continue to die at the hands of the truly pained?

I mean, would it have happened to someone not called Leonard? 

Can agree on this, not fun to see this jo-jo living going on.

Let the man do his paper so we have something fun to read when tired :p
