Unable to contain the anger she had about her shitting morning, Luna barged through her favourite restaurant and lazily sat down in her favourite seat. She held her head in her hands. Slowly breathing in and out. Imaginary smoke must have been coming out of her ears. Just as she was about to close her eyes for some peace of mind, she felt a light tap on her shoulder. "What the fuck do you want?" Luna snapped as she turned her head up. Her eyes landed on a male stranger who looked familiar. Too familiar. She must have seen him before during an organized crime or a job. The issue was that she never really liked him. Luna always liked to have things done her way, so if someone was to oppose that... she wasn't going to take it lightly. She also despised the fact that he seemed to be so chilled and laidback, while Luna was stressed and panicked all the time. "... as you can see I'm trying to relax right now. Please go away." |

After what had been a productive day for Skrillex, organising some important business for his new crew in Detroit. He had entered into a nearby restaurant, not his favourite, but one he had been too before. It was going to do the job, a quick bite to eat before he'd head into a nearby bar for a few drinks, to round off what had been a good day. As he entered into the joint, from the corner of his eye, he noticed an old acquaintance, looking a little worse for wear.. "must've been a tough day for her, he thought to himself" He didn't know her extremely well and was hesitant to approach her, nonetheless, he tightened his tie and made his way over to her.. to say hello. As he made his way over, he hastily, tapped her on her shoulder, which was met by a somewhat hastily response. "Feisty" he thought. Hey, just wanted to say hello, I think I recognise you from somewhere? My name is urm Marco, he stuttered, before realising, she'd probably know him by his alias Skrillex as most of his accomplices would do, it was only his mother who would call him by his legal name, Marco. Mind if I take a seat? Before, she even had the chance to respond, he had already pulled out the chair to sit himself down. |

The polite thing to do was make conversation and offer the man a drink, but Luna was far too tired to even say anything more. A bartender came over and asked the both of them if they wanted anything to sip on. She looked up just to nod her head, before burying her face into her arms laid on the table. "And how about you, sir?" He asked while grabbing two glasses from underneath. This Marco guy is pretty persistent, Luna thought to herself. Her rude demeanour would be enough to make herself unattractive. But, she had enough enemies on her plate so she decided to just make some small talk. "How have you been coping these days? And since what happened with our former boss Catalina..." She looked into his eyes, hoping to not make it obvious that she was extremely broken inside. Luna glanced at the clock behind him. It was getting late but she didn't want to go home just yet. Home didn't feel like home anymore, especially when there was no one to come home to. |

"Devastated about the loss of Catalina, but such is the story of our life. Look, whilst I know we are still in sorrow from the losses of yesterday, but honestly, I'm ready to have some fun tonight and it seems like you're really in need of some of that too!" As he pulled his chair out to sit, he noticed behind the natural and striking glare of her eyes, some sorrow and sadness. This could've explained her hasty welcoming of earlier. Nonetheless, Marco took his seat, whilst sat, he pulled the chair closer to the table and loosened his tie. Before, signalling for the barman. "Two of your finest dry Gin & Tonic's, please." As the barman hurried back to the bar to get the liquor ready. Marco, after clearing his throat, quietly notions towards the lady sat opposite him. "Sorry, I didn't quite catch your name?" The two Gin & Tonics had arrived at this point, the barmen nervously placed the two glasses on the table, before Marco had slipped across a hefty tip into the man's inner pocket. "Listen, I am not sure what you've been drinking so far, but nothing a G&T can't fix" as he slid the glass of liquor towards her. "How about we get this down, and I whisk you over to the bar across the street, does that sound like a plan? He knew the night was still young at this point, it was also evident from the lady sat opposite to him, that she was not ready to call it a night, just yet. It worked out well, the restaurant was getting busier, and the crowd being more rowdy. You could barely hear across the table and there was no privacy. Luckily, Marco knew the owner of the bar across the street from past endeavours. The joint has live music, great ambience and excellent services. Marco often gets the best seat in the house due to his connection with the owner. He also happened to know, there is a secluded room in the bar that the pair of them could seat in. The room had excellent views of the performers, but more importantly, offered a place of quietness and the level of privacy, whereby the two of them could get to know each other better, whilst still being able to enjoy the festivities of the night. |

She smiled lightly. At least one of us seems to be coping well. She didn't deal so well with loss. Luna suddenly felt extremely bad for taking out her frustration on him earlier. She ended up going to the restaurant with him, but warned him that she was going to have leave earlier. As she sat in a private booth watching the dancers up on stage, she continued the flow of the conversation. After a while, she noticed that most people in the bar had started to leave. Some had kids to attend to, some had work in the early mornings, just like Luna. "Hi, I'm sorry. I've got to run off now. It was really lovely meeting you." She smiled and waved as she headed out the door. She definitely had fun, but her social battery was already running low. The drive home was a comfortable silence. It's funny how life works. You think you know someone, but you don't. Luna was grateful to have met the man. |

Yakuza, known his inner circle as Hector, was an accomplice of Skrillex. The two were somewhat close friends, albeit being based out of different cities and crews. They shared many common interests, including, guns, cars and women.. but beyond that, the two were aspiring mafioso's and were within the wider community as rising stars amongst the new generation of the mafia. It was a Friday evening, Yakuza and Skrillex had both been in Detroit discussing some business endeavours in the near future, but in particular they were here to discuss and finalize plans for a job out in the Mid West. Yakuza, after meeting Skrillex in the earlier part of the day had decided to go home instead of joining Skrillex on his night out. He had to attend some urgent matters and was unable to join Skrillex. He was disappointed to not have been able to join his friend, but there was business that needed to be done, Skrillex and Yakuza, shook hands and went on their separate way. Yakuza, had been pretty successful in his business dealings, that afforded him a plush apartment, right in the heart of the city. It wasn't until the next morning, early morning, the phone was ringing. It was odd, he wasn't often a recipient of phone calls that early in the morning. He knew, it had to be important. He hurried over to the phone and picked it up. On the phone, was a stern and deep voice. The man on the other side, had a strong New York accent, it was a short call. The man informed Yakuza, that Skrillex was shot 15 times in cold blood on his way home last night. His face dropped and heart shattered as he heard news of the passing of his dear friend. He took a deep breath, with his hands in his face, he put the phone down, and just looked deep into the emptiness. Yakuza, sometimes known for his hot head and rash decision, quickly got dressed and picked up his pistol and exited his apartment. He knew were Skrillex was last night and the place he got shot. He attended the scene, but was met by flocks of police and local press surrounding the area. He couldn't see the body of his friend, but he understood what had happened, the country was rippled by war and good men were getting killed left, right and centre, all over the place. Skrillex, did not have many enemies that wanted him dead, this is what Yakuza thought at least. Just as he was about to turn back and head back, he noticed a man on the corner of the street, quivering, whilst having a smoke. He was visibly shaken. It was the barmen who had served Skrillex the night before and witnessed the killing just outside, after he had finished his shift. Yakuza, was also known to be a witty man, he knew this kid had seen something or knew of something, so he approached him. "Hey kid, you look a bit nervous, did you see what unfolded here yesterday? Yakuza, slightly moved his suit jacket, showing the young barmen his revolver, placed firmly in the side of his trousers." "Look kid, you are not in trouble. The man who was shot is a dear friend of mine and I want to know what's happened. I am not asking you a question, you are going to smoke and tell me what went on here last night." The barman, took a few more tokes of his cigarettes before speaking. "Sir, the man who was shot, was in here last night, with this beautiful woman, she had glaring eyes and was wearing a red dress. It didn't seem like they knew each other but they seemed deep in discussion at some points. I didn't hear much of their conversation, but I heard her saying she had to leave for home early.. oh I noticed she was driving one of those brand new black Cadillacs, or at least her driver was, I couldn't see but I saw her leave and that car drove away." uttered the kid, who was so nervous he could barely speak straight. "Thanks kid, you've been helpful. Look, here's 100$, take it and go home, get some food and some sleep, you need it." The barman's statement was helpful but not too informative. Yakuza, knew he had to find this girl, she might've known what had happened, but more importantly, she might've known of the plans of the job, both Yakuza, and Skrillex had been planning. Yakuza, was naturally a charming man, so he was well liked. He remembered the kid mention a new Cadillac, and funnily enough, it was Yakuza's best friend who had owned the local car dealership. He thought, he may be able to track down the owner of this Cadillac and ultimately, track down this woman, who was with his friend the evening before. Finding a local telephone booth, he called his friend at the dealership, and queried if anyone had bought a black Cadilliac recently. "Sorry to hear about Skrillex, but yes yes, a woman came by earlier this week and she brought one and paid all cash, in hundreds!! It looked like she was well connected, a little feisty but easy on the eye, I didn't catch her name. Wait, let me ask my mechanic, he dropped the car at her yard, so he might remember where she lived..." After a brief pause, the man returned back to the phone, and gave Yakuza an address. Yakuza, got in his car and made his way towards this location. It was not too far from where he was. As he approached the block, he noticed the Cadillac the barman had described, parked on the sideway, he knew this was the place the woman lived. As he gingerly approached the door, he kept one hand on his revolver, with the other hand knocking on the door, somewhat harshly. A few moments passed, until he heard footsteps of someone approaching the other side of the door. A young lady opened the door, and looked a little taken back at the sight of Yakuza, here she had a man fully dressed in a silk suit, looking both angry and relieved... Before, she could even say hello. Yakuza, had let go of his revolver, he was no longer worried at the sight of the woman, although he had not seen her before. "Do you know Skrillex? I heard you were with him yesterday evening?." |

Luna thought about starting off the morning right. Her mind went back the events from last night, and she smiled to herself. She wondered if they would come in contact again. Before she could think more about it, she hopped into her bath tub once the water was warm. The bubbles relaxed her mind and she closed her eyes, relieved that she was able to calm down her soul before walking out into the chaos that was LA. Suddenly there was knocks at the door. She jumped. Quickly stood up and slipped into an oversized shirt. It was bloody 8 in the morning and someone was already trying to get a hold of her? This better be important, she thought to herself. Opening the door, she began to start feeling ill. Something felt off. She didn't know whether it was the revolver he was carrying or the look in his eyes... "Um," she hugged her robe closer to her chest before continuing, "...yes. He told me his name was Marco. I assume we're thinking of the same person. First of all... who are you and why are you asking me about what I was doing last night?" It was so crazy to think that just moments before she was feeling on top of the world, and in just a flash things start to turn the other direction. As she waited for him to answer, she looked at him properly. Luna started to wonder if this guy was also connected to the mafia. Of course he is. The silk suit made him stand out a bit too much, in her opinion. It looked good on him, but him having no manners put her off completely. Not even a hello, good morning. Straight to the chase. And then... the news broke. The important thing is not to panic. Now she knew why the man was blatantly showing off his weapon. Perhaps he wanted her to know that he meant danger - if she was the one who committed the crime. Hell, it would've made total sense if she had done it. She was the last one to be seen with him. Memories of Marco start to flood her mind, and she wondered if she stayed with him for another hour - would things have turned out differently? Could he be alive right now instead of in a body bag? "I... I'll be back. Let me just change." She came back dressed neatly in jeans and a green sweater. It was a great difference from the man's silk suit, but at least she wasn't dripping wet in a shirt. At the very least, she owed the man an explanation. "We hung out at a bar in the evening, but I had to leave early. We parted ways and that was it. The only other person he communicated with other than me is the bartender. I also don't know where he would've gone afterwards. I literally only just met him last night and I did suspect he was mafia but I never asked for the details." |

"Yes Marco, may he rest in peace" Yakuza responded in a stern tone to Luna. As he waited for her to go back into the house to get changed, he paced up and down the driveway in an agitated mood. He lit up a cigarette to calm his immediate nerves and regain some composure. Luna, soon returned to the door to answer his question. But he noticed her uneasy with the situation, naturally as you would, if you had a hot headed gangster with a pistol on your doorstep. "Look, I am going to be honest with you. I suggest you go back inside, grab a few important items and your pistol. You and I are going out of town for a few days. No questions now, because I assure you, the next man who is going to knock on your doors won't be as forgiving as me" Hector, realised that it was very likely, that either the police or one of Skrillex's soldiers were going to turn up shortly and Luna was going to either end up in a body bag or a prison cell. Neither would be of use to him. Remaining alert of any possible danger, He waited a few short minutes, until Luna had returned with a holdall, which he kindly took off he and loaded the car, before opening the passenger door and signalling for her to enter. He took of his suit jacket, but kept his tie on as he entered into the drivers sear of his brand new Mercedes Benz. As they sat in the car, he glanced across and quickly and naturally became attracted to the beauty of the woman sitting alongside him, this made him slightly uncomfortable at first. However, he knew he had a mission on his hand and could not afford any distractions, regardless of how difficult they may prove to become. "May god rest his soul, but I can see why Marco was entertained by you." he muttered with a slight smirk on his face. "I know you didn't kill Marco, you don't have the eyes of a killer. But look, he shared his legal name with you and that isn't something he tells everyone, so he obviously either knew or trusted you, or both. And, for that reason I am going to take the liberty of putting my trust in you also." "I am going to skip the pleasantries and get to the point, we owe some powerful men a lot of money." He took a pause and glanced across at Luna to gauge her reaction. "I am not sure of how much Marco has told you, but I need someone to come with me for a job out in Delaware. Given, that that you are now technically on the run.. I could not think of a better partner." Business generally wasn't great across the nation. Federal laws and gangland rivalry had bitterly disrupted much of the profit making businesses that they were familiar with like, bootleg and racketeering. Luckily, Marco and Hector both knew of an old school friend who had moved out to Delaware some years ago, working at the local airport. He passed on the message to his boys out in Detroit, that there was a big delivery of gold arriving at Delaware International Airport. The gold was to be transported to a newly opened Bank in the city. It was the perfect job to hit, security was going to be low and the crews across the country weren't aware of the high value delivery. This should have in theory been an in/out sorta job. Except, now they were a man light. "Uh, it's going to take us a couple of days to get to Delaware, so get yourself comfortable. We'll make a few pit stops on the way" He made himself comfortable for the long journey ahead. Pulling down the windows, he lit cigarette and looked across to Luna, as he knew she'd likely have a ton of questions to ask.. |

As requested by the man who suddenly invited himself into her life, she went back inside and grabbed some important things before hitting the road. She would kill for a cigarette right now. The man had tried to assure her that the next time someone went knocking on her door that they wouldn't be as forgiving, but all Luna thought about when he mentioned it was that he underestimated her. Luna, inwardly sulking, let him take her bags off her and she watched him put it in his Benz. Well, at least she was gonna take a joy ride in this beauty. Luna followed behind him and sat herself in the passenger seat, taking one last glance at her apartment. Sigh. She didn't know how long she was gonna be gone, and her best friend was probably looking for her. A stranger she met last night got shot. A random guy shows up to her house. What a fucking day this was. She catches him smirking and she looks at him funnily. "You trust me that easily? I mean, I have no idea who you are and I sure as hell don't trust you. You could be faking as Marco's friend for all I know." Luna shrugged, but he didn't seem to care about what she said as he kept on speaking. All friendly introductions went out the door when he started getting to the point to which she reacted with a groan. Luna wanted to slam her head somewhere. She wanted to help the guy, of course, but she was hesitant about dragging herself in the situation. From the details he was giving about owing people money, she started to wonder if this guy had actually thought carefully about everything. Come to think of it, she shouldn't even have to go with him on the job, but it seemed as though she only had two choices anyway. One, eventually get shot and framed by the cops or one of Skrillex's men, or assist the man with a delivery. Luna sure as hell wasn't going to go out in a body bag. Road trip to Delaware it is. Luna still wanted to be cautious though, so she tried to think of all the things that could go wrong if she went with him. She rolled her window down and kicked up her legs on the dashboard. Surely he didn't mind. But even if he did, she didn't give a fuck. And also, if she was going to spend the next few days driving around with this guy, she wanted to get her hands on some weed. "Before anything, can we drop by my bestfriend's place first? It's just a few minutes from here..." Luna also wanted to inform her friend about her whereabouts for the coming days just in case something happened to her. It was quiet the whole ride. She tried to avoid looking at him. Once Luna saw her BFFs house in the distance, she unbuckled her seatbelt and waited for the car to stop before quickly jumping out to hug her. As always, she was chilling on the front porch smoking a joint. She looked past Luna, noticing the man in the drivers seat. "I'm... not even gonna bother asking. You do you." She said before she gave Luna the bag of weed she had promised and winked at her. Luna rolled her eyes. "Okay, well... if I don't come back next week... tell Phillip. He'll come looking for me. I'll be in Delaware. Cya chick," Luna blew her a kiss before walking back to the car. "I'm all set," she says to him, then adds, "... so what do people call you?" |

He glanced over as she put her feet on the dashboard. It didn't bother him much as after all this was going to be a long ride and he thought she'd better get comfortable. With a cigarette in his mouth, he looked through the rear mirror, momentarily pondering on the point she had made with regards to him trusting her. Funnily enough, for all life, he had thought himself as one who finds it difficult to trust someone. Yet, here he is, trusting a woman who had barely e to say her name, with a lot of money.. life changing money..! There was something about her, which made him feel comfortable enough around her, that he could afford to put this trust in her. It helped, that Skrillex also trusted her, so he thought anyway. Unbeknown to him otherwise, because he had thought that this chick was Skrillex's love interest. He was unaware, that both Luna and Skrillex had only met just over 12 hours ago. "Trust? Well, look Marco trusted you enough, to be with you and well knowing how he was, that must hold some value." That was enough for Hector, to both trust her with his life and equally give her the opportunity to change her life and change that of her children's children. This was serious money..and a serious job. They soon arrived at her friends place, where Luna jumped out quickly and got what she needed. Hector, slightly shaked his head in disappointment, thinking, here's another Cali girl, doing drugs to be cool. She entered the car and the two set off on their journey, trans America.. My name is Hector. But you can call me Yakuza, don't ask about that nickname, it's a long story but has stuck with me since my early days. He smiled as he glanced across at her, whilst she looked slightly more at ease now that she had her marijuana. "We've got a long journey and a lot to talk about. But I am going to start nice and slow. What is your name? Where are you from? and what do you do for a living?" He picked up his packet of cigarette, with one hand on the wheel and with the other hand, pulling out a cigarette and directing it toward Luna's lips. "You look like you need one!" |

I could stay like this forever. That's what Luna thought as she continued to relax in the passenger seat, head back, wind blowing past. But then the male stranger, who was soon going to be her partner in crime, introduced himself as Hector. "Cool nickname. Yakuza it is then," Luna turned to him and shrugged, smiling. She caught him smiling as well and she suddenly got shy. She never got like this before. Men didn't usually make her squirm like a teenage girl. Luna kept distracting herself with her joint. Then he started to ask about her life, and she completely forgot for one quick second that he was sitting beside her. The weed was hitting strong, and she felt like she was in a dream-like state. "Huh," Luna said as she looked at him with tired, yet joyful eyes. He was shoving a cigarette towards her face and she shook her head to signal no. Anyways, he seemed interested enough to get to know more about her, so she took a break from what she was smoking and decided to play along with him. The road ahead was long and there were many things to talk about for sure. He wanted to take it 'nice and slow'. She liked that. "And you can call me Luna," she replied, then adds, "born and bred in America. I'm just trying to get my money up and doing all that I can to ensure that my kids and my kids' kids will never have to suffer. I currently work for Nick Valentine in Las Vegas. Few months ago, I actually thought I'd be done with the mafia, but here I am again - right back where I started." She looked at Yakuza, contemplating. What if I decide to put my trust in him? She thought she was being silly, but if she really did decide to open up more to him during the trip... it could open new opportunities. Maybe he had lots of friends and connections in the mafia that he could point her to. But that was kind of bad, right? Using someone for their connections. Isn't that what he was doing anyway? Using her just for this job? Luna saw a gas station ahead and she caught a glance of Yakuza's fuel gauge. "Before you start asking me more questions, your car needs more fuel. And I need snacks." |

They had now been driving a little over an hour or so. The gas tank was feeling empty, Yakuza hadn't anticipated he'd be doing this spontaneous drive to Delaware, therefore, hadn't topped up on gas. The car was brand new, so the journey itself felt comfortable and smooth. He had his elbow resting on the on the side part with a cigarette in his mouth, he quietly listened to Luna's introduction, whilst enjoying the scenic yet vast emptiness of the deserts surrounding him. Naturally, he was feeling more at ease with her and he felt the same with her in return with him. Luna responded to his somewhat direct questions, although the more she spoke the more he was impressed with the eloquent tone in which she had articulated herself. He knew, she was a girl of an affluent and well to do background, leading him to be curious about how she had found herself in the life of crime. Responding to Luna. "Yes I will pop in here and the tank needs refilling. I'll jump out, what snacks would you like me to grab? I guess you've got the munchies.." He nodded his head as made his way out of the car to fill up on gas. He remembered he had some stolen gas stamps in his boot but he didn't want to look cheap in front of his newfound acquaintance, so he walked around the car and reached into his glovebox, just below where her legs were resting, to grab a big wad of Lincoln's. "Oh, by the way this is going to be our last stop before we shut off for the night. There's a little town just a few hours ahead of us, I know there's a pretty good motel where we can camp for the night." The sun had begun to set, and Yakuza wanted to get to the motel soon, so that he could rest up, for it had been a shit day so thus far. |

"Yeah, sure," Luna nodded towards him as she listened to him talk about the gas station being the last stop. What a great idea to finally lay on a soft bed. She yawned as she watched him fill up. Luna offered to help pay for the gas, though it seemed like he had it all under control. She hoped so. Her eyes light up once Yakuza started to come back to the car. It must have been a bloody coincidence for him to get her favourite snack of all time. Spicy jalapeno chips were her comfort food. She sat patiently, waiting for him to hand it over but inside her mind she was dying to get her hands on it. It must be his favourite snack as well. Luna opened up the chips. "You have great taste," she said and smiled before she grabbed a chip to enjoy the delicious crunch. In order to keep herself from sleeping during the drive to the motel, she attempted to get to know Yakuza more. She kept eating chips and only taking a break to talk. Clearly enjoying being the passenger. "So," she munched, "what do you do outside of this life?" Luna noticed that her hairs on her arms were going up as the wind outside began to get colder. She rolled the window up and pulled her sleeves down. She wasn't sure where the interest to know what his hobbies were outside of the mafia came from, but she had to admit it was fun getting to know a stranger. So much mysteries to explore. Luna leaned back in her seat while she listened. She found it hard to get into new hobbies. Luna had just been so focused on getting her money up that she kind of forgot who she was as a person. She was also so used to being independent and alone, so being with someone for more than an hour was kind of making her tense. Hopefully she would loosen up soon. "That's nice," Luna gave a nod while he spoke. Though she wasn't fully listening because she started to see the motel in the distance hours later. |

He hadn't thought about what she liked, he had in fact grabbed the spicy jalapeno flavoured chips, because that was his favourite snack for a especially for a road trip. It worked out well that Luna had liked them as well. It was a coincidence, but maybe, these two were more alike than they might have thought.. With a smirk on his face. "Yeah, you seem like the the type of girl who would enjoy this, so I picked it out just for you.. oh I also got some beers for later when we're at the hotel, maybe we can have a few with couple of smokes" he was clearly lying, but he was naturally charming and couldn't help himself. "Well Luna, outside of this life I am merely a bible salesman, thats my day job. And, well in the evenings, I guess you can say I sell people false dreams." He remained very coy on his upbringing and what he was about. He found it difficult trusting people, and rightfully so, this business was not on trust.. nonetheless, he was widely seen as one of the rising stars within the New York criminal circles. A true ole' fashioned mafioso. He was very stern in that of his manner, decisive in that of his actions and was ruthless in reaching his goals. Yakuza was the the type of man, that would not settle for anything less than the top. Outside of his criminal life, he was a family man, he came the patriarch and sole provider of his family at a very young age, after the untimely passing of his father, who before him was also a known and respected mafioso. Yakuza, was like most men of his tender age, he enjoyed the attention of women, enjoyed spending time with friends and having an odd drink here and there. He was a big sports fan, with some interests in basketball and soccer. He enjoyed travelling when he could and in another life, he would have seen himself becoming a teacher. Notwithstanding the above, the most important part in his life was clear, it was to make money, whichever and however way he could, even if that included stealing and killing.. everything else would come second to this. This modus operandi had made him become far wealthier than any other walk of life could have. There was a silence momentarily in the car. The pair of them had taken a brief pause to acknowledge and apprehend what one another had just said.. Glancing across, he noticed Luna dozing off. It was getting late and she probably got barely any sleep the night before given that she was out enjoying the best of LA's festivities. Yakuza, himself was feeling somewhat tiresome himself, so he put his foot on gas swiftly passing several cars on the highway, before setting his eyes upon this small motel, just outside of a rural town. The motel was old fashioned, not too big, not too small but it was quiet and perfect for a pit stop. He slowly pulled into the car park, and noticed an old gentleman at the reception. He parked up the car, just across the rooms in the parking lot. There were a few junkies in the parking lot, so Yakuza asked Luna to stay in the car just incase shit kicks off with these junkies, whilst, he went to grab the keys for the rooms. Moments later he came back towards the car having spoken to the motel receptionist. He approached his side of the car and opened the door and entered in. The weather had taken a turn for the worst, and it was raining somewhat heavily in this part of the country. "They only have one room available, either we take it or I can drive up the road to look for another motel. I am not sure if there is one, and personally I'm shattered. So up to you, you decide, shall we continue driving? or just camp here for tonight, we can make the sleeping arrangements once we get in.. because I would love a shower right now!" He lit another cigarette, as he awaited for Luna's response, desperately hoping she'd be okay to share rooms for the night as he was exhausted from all the driving and really did not want to continue. |

When she was fully awake and wasn't close to being the sleepy passenger, she watched Yakuza go check in a room at the front desk of the motel. She rubbed her eyes and yawned, feeling the events of the day finally catching up to her. The rain that started to pour made her even more tired and she wanted nothing more than to sleep on a soft mattress. However, she didn't expect for them to be sharing one room, but it was either that or keep on driving and she didn't feel like she could take being in the car for any longer. "I would prefer to have a room to myself, but I'm tired and I can't hear myself think anymore. I'm going to bed," Luna replied and quickly got out of the car, not bothering to hear a response from him as the rain droplets became louder. She used her jacket as an umbrella and threw it off her once she reached the door of their assigned room. She looked back and suddenly remembered she forgot to grab her suitcase. Looking back, she made sure to talk loudly so that Yakuza would be able to hear her from the car. "Yakuza, my suitcase!" A few junkies turned her way and she glared furiously, making them turn away awkwardly. Fucking junkie, she said under her breath. Luna waited for Yakuza to get all their bags. She couldn't wait to take a warm shower. It might not be the same thing as taking a relaxing bath at home, but at least it was something. Tomorrow was going to be a big day as she didn't want to take any more stops. Finally, the door was open and she quickly came in, noticing that there really wasn't much to look at in there. She wasn't surprised. It was kind of a cheap motel room. The double bed had a single white sheet plus just two pillows. One night stand with a small lamp. There was also a small wooden table that had a kettle plus some old magazines. She thought that Yakuza might've been able to get a better room, but oh well. Beggars couldn't be choosers. She laughed at herself. "We are... really living in luxury right now," she raised a brow as she picked up a dirty sock from underneath the bed with a plastic fork she found. She threw the sock at him, which was an attempt to annoy him though she seemed to make him slightly furious. Looked away innocently once she was able to catch his attention. She locked the doors then checked outside for the junkies if any of them were hanging nearby. Nope. Great - coast was clear. Now no one would able to hear Luna murdering Yakuza. Sike. Luna laughed at herself again. She was starting to think that he might think she was a crazy ass bitch. Yawned again when she stared at her suitcase, waiting to be opened. Luna didn't care to change into any night clothes. All she wanted to focus on was getting some sleep so she'd be able to have some energy for the morning. She also wanted to offer being the driver for a while so that at least her partner could chill for a bit during the rest of the drive. "Okay. I'm going to go under these covers and count sheep till I fall into a nice, peaceful sleep. Have fun with your shower. Please don't bother me when you get out. Night," she said without any enthusiasm. Luna seems to notice him giving her a look and she gave him a look of confusion. "What? Oh I forgot to mention. You're sleeping on the couch. Thanks for being such a doll." She climbed into bed, making sure not to let him notice the little smirk on her face. |

He was relived that she accepted to share rooms, as he really wasn't keen on driving any longer tonight, especially in this horrendous weather. He was desperate for a shower as well. L He picked up Luna's suitcases along with the beer case he brought earlier at the gas station. It was absolutely hammering it down with rain, so he made sure he got quickly got into cover as to avoid getting her bags wet. The room itself was going to be basic, he had no doubt about that, as it only cost 50$ for the night. But as long as it had a bed and a working shower, he wasn't going to complain, they were only going to be there for the night and be out first thing in the morning. She found a sock underneath the bed, which they threw at him in a joking manner. He didn't find it too funny, for god knows how long that sock has been there and he was quite a hygienic man, in general. He was disappointed that there was only one bed in the room, but the guy at reception did tell him of this, nonetheless, they had to take what they got given. Somehow, it'll work, it always does. He was going to offer Luna the bed, but she jumped in first and tucked herself under the covers anyway. He was a gentleman, so this wasn't going to be a real problem. "You can have the bed Luna, but the night is still young. We've got a few beers and few joints to crack through first, so get back up and roll the joint" "Also, you'll sleep like a baby afterwards. But you better not snore, or I might have to shoot you." As he waited for her to get up, he took off his shoes and suit blazer and himself a little bit more comfortable. He placed his pistol on the couch, next to wear he was going to sleep just incase some of the junkies made trouble. He dimmed the light in the room, leaving just the lamp left on. There was no other entertainment available in the room, so he was desperately hoping Luna would get up so he could drink a couple of beers with her before they go to sleep. |
