The_Beast steps up to the soapbox with a simple question he would like an answer to.

"My Grandfather was a CL in LV and was actively a part of the wars that the community at large wanted to wage, whether he thought it was right or not. He had no stake in the wars at all. He just did his duty, like anyone in his position would. What I would like to know is why LV was targeted for removal buy LA, our supposed sister city, no less, after serving so faithfully in the wars?"

The_Beast shifted his weight on the soapbox uncomfortably as he gathered his thoughts.

"My grandfather was aware, do to a 'leak' in the LA crews, that they wanted to wipe the LV structure from the land of the living. My grandfather was flabberghasted at that idea and decided not to act on the supposed rumor that his own sister city would have such mal-intent. First of all, there was no reason. His crew fought valiantly beside the other citys, in taking out what they perceived to be threats. Second, there weren't enough people to fill the remaining roles for leadership in the city post-war. Instead of initiating a first strike, which some people of a by-gone regime would have done, decided to keep his gun holstered and trust that the leadership of LA had more sense or compassion, than did the old regimes. Paranoia wouldn't be associated with his regime, he thought. Yet the rumors were indeed true, and LA were plotting to destroy their sister city. The simple question I would ask, is 'Why?'

The_Beast stepped down from the soapbox and eagerly awaited an answer from anyone with the stones to speak the truth.

"Well it would be a disappointment considering that the ones who did, had CL positions and districts of their own to begin with. I'd be willing to concede at this point that this was possibly a forced move considering the will of the gods that we were just made aware of."

"It makes no sense for people to kill their allies"

First of all The_Beast, as executor of the Last will and Testaments of Marsh, Touch_of_Evil and @H.E.R.O. each of them made reference to bow loyal a friend your was was, and how valliant a fighter he was on behalf of Las Vegas. He had apparently really earned their mutal respects for stepping up to the plate agajn and again. From reading through their last statements and testimonies it would seem that the reason for the attack on LV was simply paranoia.

Firstly, it was rumoured that following the fall of NY, several known members of a proscribed organisation had sought refuge in LV. Now, given the fact that none of these men could be of higher rank than wise guy, and that the other cities had not even approached GFC Marsh in an attempt to rectify the situation, I believe the majority of people as in fact one of the highest members of LA himself stated, just couldn't care less about that situation. Which leads us to the second and more salient reason.

Las Vegas had survived the war on New York relatively unscathed compared to many other cities. They had a lot of high ranked individuals still standing and in positions of power. Coupled with the fact that the remaining GFs felt in some way indebted to Marsh for his assistance and you are left with a perfect storm of paranoia. Rather than use the members of LV to help rebuild the 6 cities as in fact Marsh suggested, and perhaps fearing a power grab by LV itself, the remanents of the 5 cities rose up and attacked. Their inital attack was thwarted by a leak from LA itself as you have mentioned. Don ToE got word including transcriptions of secret conversations of the iminent attack, and secretly messaged the leaders of LV asking them to quietly recall their members in an attempt to garison the city. GfC Marsh for his part, approached the other GFCs and made them aware thatbhe knew of the attack. The leak in LA then informed the LV leadership thatbthe war had been postponed until GFC Marsh and Don ToE were asleep.

For 24 hours both men did their best to ensure that atnleast one of them was awake at a time, until business called them both away, and the attack was made. Alas for the 5 cities, the pre time they had given LV ensured a rather lack lustre first wave, which resulted in yet another protracted war. 

I was recently reminded that the survivors are the victors, and LV did not survive, but it does appear that the 6 cities will suffer further under the will of the Gods for the short sightedness of a few scared old men withe the retirn of the dreaded container crews.

Nothing surprising at all really, war is a war and its sad each time but its just to take new grips and forget all about a war, so much anger after each war, just forget and have fun again is all I say.

Tute lights up a smoke and hope more happiness can occur instead of anger. Were not happy after any war but it is what it is.
