One of EvilClowns army of midget bodyguards rolls into his office waving a piece of paper like a winning bookies docket at the races. Being mute it pushes the paper under the clowns nose… “Served…. Some bouncing ball bag has served me?” With a theatrical flourish EvilClown pulls out his over sized horn rimmed spectacles and positions them ‘just so’ on the top of his big red nose and starts to laugh maniacally. Reading further with obvious interest in what the cheap pamphlet is going on about he realises this is something to do with some mere trinkets and baubles he doffed to a young aspiring boxer. “My, my… what is the world coming to when people are getting their proverbials in a twist over some civic perks” He motions to the Kow towing midget… “Tell them I’ve plenty of trinkets and if there is a definitive result from that competition I’ll send the same again to the victor. Las Vegas is busy and I don’t have the time to be traipsing across the country on some hack lawyers whim” The glasses disappear back up the clowns sleeve and he continues to ruminate over how blind squirrels find enough nuts to sustain themselves. |

Rocky2, I have no desire to get wrapped up in the legal battle. I was not and will not be part of anything to do with your contest, it's prizes, or the outcome - I really could care less. However, this appears to be a teaching moment, not only for you, but for those foolish enough to enter your "competitions." As I have previously stated in other conversations, I see your competitions as a sham that generally end up just like this one - a disaster. Let it be a warning to those who decide to partake in these farces: you enter at your own risk, knowing full well from various previous occurrences that you are unlikely to be judged fairly or compensated properly in the event you do win. People who wish to hold competitions must be of a certain moral standing that I am afraid you sir, have not met. If you wish to be what you pretend to be - a beacon of light in the dark of the streets or whatever nonsense you're peddling now - your line should stop shooting at people. Chicago was kind enough to give your father a home after multiple other cities denied him entrance - perhaps that was your last chance? Your father spat in the face of his crewleader, his acting godfather, and everyone who entered this "competition" by taking an unwarranted shot on another mafiosi. I digress - I realize that, being a man of much renown and clout, my opinion on this matter may be of some importance. Let it be known that I stand with the decision made by Lincoln_Lawyer to seize the assets and bequeath them unto LostBoy's kin. EvilClown has stated he will pay the prizewinner regardless, so I think that the issue just about solves itself. Good luck in court, sir. |

It appears that this has ended well except for Lincoln_Lawyer enriching himself (until we see evidence to the contrary) Ray_Liotta - happily, you should by now have received the prizes donated generously by EvilClown AmeliaGato - won 2nd place and her compensation has been dealt with separately EddieMame and I are putting together another contest. A serious mistake in using a "lawyer" - he was a conman and a thief. Dagda - your WiseGuys were spared the assassin's gun last night and you choose now to make this unprecedented attack not only on the organisers of the competitive writing community, but on writers themselves? Son, what on earth is your end game? |

Rocky2, you seem to have conflated evidence and supposition. Neither of your points are evidence. However, at the risk of flogging an extremely dead horse, i shall answer your questions.
1. There was no money, stolen or otherwise, simply perks, or as Evilclown has chosen to refer to them, baubles. The Perks are liquidised assets were sent to an anonymous benefactor to protect their anonimity and prevent reprisals by you or others in your employ or service, or other 3rd parties completely unaffiliated with you. As stated when you initially asked for evidence of their transferral, I told you to petition Cityhall for any further proof that you require. As a Made Man I have given my word that the transaction took place, and that should be enough for any mafioso. I was involved in the death of Honesty, he was not associated with me or the crew that I represent, so it is up to his crewleader or representative to seek compensation from the estate of you late father.
2. What Rocky allegedly did or did not provide for the son of Lostboy has no relevance to the matter at hand. I recieved instructions from my employer to act on behalf of the relatives of Lostboy, and that is what I did. May I enquire as to why, if your father compensated the son of Lostboy, he didn't do so for Honeaty? I would also request verifiable evidence that you father compensated anyone, for forgive me for saying this, but your family has a history of claiming one thing and doing another. |

I have two other testimony transcripts which can be provided as needed, but after reviewing the material, I would ask that perhaps a new set of judges rule on who the winners are. As for the actions of Lincoln_Lawyer, it would seem he had permission from the person who had given him the perks to sell them. That said, it would probably be best if they were replaced and given as prizes to the winners, as they were intended.
Hopefully, this is something that Lincoln_Lawyer might be able to agree to. If no prize money was given by Rocky3 's lineage and is lost to the wind, perhaps there are other people who can contribute. |

The alleged defamation is not the concern of this matter. The concern should be that the contestants put forth effort, and should be judged fairly. In addition, the winners should be awarded for their efforts. If this is not done, faith in future contests will be marred. |
