The Pestering of a Perfectly Pleasant Person Started by: AmeliaGato on Oct 28, '21 08:38

Curled up on her overstuffed chair in The Result's headquarters, Amelia was finally letting herself have a small break with a novel that she had picked up while traveling around the country. It wasn't overly complex, it was a story about a girl who liked digging holes and fishing. Strange topic, but it was engrossing and it passed the time nicely while she ignored the chaos that was Las Vegas. Amelia was lost in her book when a knock sounded at the door, causing her to make a face, as she was not planning to deal with anymore people today, but such was the life of super amazingly active Righthand such as herself.

Tossing the book onto the couch opened the door, obvious fake smile pasted on her face as she opened the door ready to greet the visitor. but standing there was a courier with a single mail in his hand, "For you, ma'am," they said handing it over. Taking the letter Amelia quickly opened and scanned the contents, her stomach dropping knowing what was coming.

"Thank you,"  Amelia said before moving to close the door, but instead of closing it hit a solid object. Looking down Amelia could see that he fool of a man had blocked it with his foot. "Excuse me?" she said looking up at him, the smile on her face gone.

"Uh, well sorry Ma'am," the man said, swallowing nervously. "But there are more." The man dug through his bag and started handing letter after letter, Amelia trying to read them, her name catching her eye a time or two. Once the letters were exhausted, at least fourteen letters were in her hands, each one more absurd than the last. "That should be all of them.. for now." the courier said before tipping his hat and quickly hightailing it out of there.

Finally closing the door Amelia opened the mail, scanned it, and then groaned when she read her name. "Oh good, a new fun game in Las Vegas," she muttered, tossing it to the side. The next one wasn't much better, it stated that she was in dire need of bus fare and that the generous people of Las Vegas should send her some, in six-dollar increments, and the most generous of them all would receive a prize. Her hand crumpled around the letter, ready to forget the rest and go back to her glorious hole digging book, when another knock sounded.

Opening the door a small scamp handed her six dollars, crumpled up. "Amelia, SlimShady wants to make sure you can travel safely!" the youth said before scampering off into the night. Pocketing the money as she looked up and down the street, she started cursing under her breath. The youths were coming, and she had no doubt they all had six dollars for yours-truly, given as such a kind generous donation to ensure her safety. She could close the door, lock it, hide out for a few days, let the chaos calm itself around her, or she could accept her fate.

Stepping onto her porch, she waited as the youths approached, one after the other. Each handing over various denominations of six dollars to her, each one stating who the lovely kind person was that was behind the latest offering. Mentally, Amelia was screaming. On the outside she just smiled, nodded, accepted the money and stuck it in her pocket which was growing quite full.

Time passed, youths came and went, but it had been some time since a charming donation had been made, which meant Amelia might be safe to go inside and resume her mundane reading. Perhaps she could set up a collection box, hang a sign that said "Gone Fishing" or just move to Philadelphia, she heard Qui-Gon-Jinn had some lovely family rules to sign. While musing this all over, her plans of escaping the endless torment, Amelia felt a tug at her pocket. "Excuse me?" she said realizing that someone had pick pocketed her, the assailant well on their way.

Taking a few deep breaths Amelia tried to push the thought of the endless mails, the donations and now this out of her mind. Reaching into her pocket to see what the damage was, as it didn't matter, It was free money she had just received after all, her fingers touched upon a note that had been left.

***Mass Mail To All Residents Of Las Vegas***
Glorious idea EvilClown! I will also partake in this prize  giving of sorts.

The person that pickpockets Amelia that most in 48hrs I will toss them a misc. gift. Proof will obviously be required.  Best of luck!

Amelia, the gloriously brilliant, overly articulate, and most charming person in all of Las Vegas did the one thing that anyone would do in this situation.

She screamed.

Amelia was a woman of above average intelligence and she knew that screaming endlessly on her porch would certainly draw unwanted attention to not only herself, but possibly her neighbors as well. And although she wasn't one to shy away from the spotlight when it was shined upon her gloriousness, she didn't think the elderly Mrs. Rutherford would take kindly the disruption of her quiet widowed life that she had created for herself in Las Vegas.

So Amelia stopped and returned to her book, settling in nicely in front of the dying fire not even considering that it was Las Vegas and did she really need a fire in this climate but that was not the point of her train of thought, and frankly it was comforting and if she got hungry there were marshmallows nearby for a quick roasted gooey snack.

Losing herself in her book again, admiring the character's determination to dig the biggest gaping hole that the world had ever seen, she hadn't heard the door. It wasn't until a small voice spoke up, startling her out of her concentration. Flailing out with the novel she was grateful that these young street-rats were quick, nimble and small as she missed him completely. Before she could demand what the kid was doing in her home, how he got in and what the actual fuck did he think he was playing at, he handed her an envelope full of money and quickly darted away.

Oct 28, 09:10:12   EvilClown has tipped you $20,006 for an old post. It has been deposited to your bank.

Manners & neighborly relations be-dammed. Privacy and solitude, be buggered. Upon reading the scrawl on the envelope, the mature, brilliantly clever, emotionally stable, influential beyond belief, friend of all, Amelia Gato got to her feet once more and walked outside. She knew they would hear her, her diaphragm was almost as impressive as her ability to blow smoke up her own ass about her brilliance.

Once again on her porch, the light shining down upon her light a spotlight, making her a target but also the center of attention, she stood up straight, shoulders back and head held high.

She screamed.

The clown’s midget bodyguard reached up and dabbed the long strand of drool hanging from his chin.  The clown was obviously pleased with himself… they had been hiding around the corner of The Result’s headquarters watching the unending stream of miscreant youths nonchalantly walking up to the door with small fistfuls of dollar bills.

The door bangs open again and @AmeilaGato appears, snatches something from a scruffy urchin on the door step.

The clown chuckles, a new length of drool comes from the corner of his mouth, the midget doesn’t have time to catch it before it splatters on the floor synchronized with an ear-piercing scream coming from the door of the HQ.

This does it for the clown he clutches his sides and falls on the floor, rolls in his own drool whilst laughing manically.

He controls himself after a few minutes, stands back up and hands his midget six $1 dollar bills.

“Here” he says, “go knock on that door and when the woman answers tell her I send my regards.”

The midget waddles off and heads to the HQ.

Slim sits at his desk writing another letter to the lovely AmeliaGato. He hears another loud ear piercing screech coming from TheResults Headquarters. He chuckles as he call one of his stans into his office. He finishes up his letter placing in the envelope and sealing. Shady flips it scribbling childish pictures on it. He hands over the envelope to the wanna-be look alike.

"Take this over to The Results HQ and personally deliver to Amelia."

Slim chuckles for a bit as he knows Amelia wants to strangle him for all of this. He hears another scream from The Results HQ then an outburst of laughter from a deranged lunatic clown. Shady says to himself

I see EvilClown is still at with her as well.

The blonde haired Detroit native smiles and walks over to the window overlooking the City of Sin taking a deep breathe

Ah! Today is a good day.
