OMERTA IS IT A CODE OR A BROTHERHOOD?SISTERHOOD OR IS IT A DEATH SENTENCE?

Scarface steped on top of a crate and asked is "Is it a thing that makes us stay hushes or it it the threat of getting beat"  he takes a deep breath. "Is it loyalty to the family or loyalty to ourselves. Is it lying and stealing from each other and bringing our own justice or loyalty to the money what ever it is is omerta an death sentence or a code? I dont question omerta I am just curios we shoot kill steal destroy but In the end were happy Is it omerta or something else?.

With that he steps of the crate and waits and waits for reponses. He has a question he want an answer. He welcomes all familys thugs mebers and assocites to his crate to share there opinon.

Well to me omerta means the code which makes our thing stick.  Without it we would be exposed and our dealing would be exposed to all.  It means keeping your mouth shut and not discussing our business of course but to me it also means more than that.  It means acting a certain way and showing respect to other members ever if they are from a different family and even if you dont like or trust that person.  We may be in different families but we are all part of the mafia so omerta is important even during times of war.  Besides war is just the price of doing business anyway right?  Well I have to go tend to some other business now

TheDentist walks over to TheExecutioner they shake hands but they give each other a wary eye to each other.

"Fairly good point so then we must really rely on our family. Is that what youre saying? Or trust none but yourself?"

Yes family first of course but also good to make contacts in other crews for business purposes.  But then if you war with that crew you may have found a good contact with their son or daughter so it is important.  But also yes I agree trust no one in this business

Watching from a distance Sammy couldn't help but listen to what was being said. The word Omerta meant silence and to speak of it left a funny taste in his mouth.

Turning and walking away, Sammy hoped no outsider was able to hear the things being said.
