The Roma Cafe sat in the middle of an area known as Eastern Market in Detroit's Corktown District.   The Roma Cafe is a hotspot of activity within Detroit and the Partnership, seeing mobsters frequent this venue on a daily basis was the norm.   The cafe's was larger then the average cafe and sold more then coffee.

Pete was excited to open Roma's Cafe.  He made contacts with the Detroit Partnership and he was giving away free dinner meals to the first ten customers.  Pete stood at the bar drinking a beer.  He was hoping that the joint becomes a local hang out spot for many. 

Pete was in Roma's Cafe drinking a beer and laughing with a few of the locals as they talked about the the Ford factory and the stuff they do when making the cars.  The defects and the stupid stuff they see certain workers doing.  Some of them Knew Pete and liked his mannerism.  Pete was kind to everyone that met him until you crossed a line with him.  As they continued Pete ordered another round of beer for everyone.  They all gave a friendly thank you and drinked the beer quickly.  

Noticing a familiar friends establishment, Sammy decided to check out Roma's Cafe while he was in DT. Entering the establishment he grabbed a menu from the front counter and decided on a Cheeseburger and an Irish Whiskey on Ice. His meal was brought out cooked to perfection and in such, when he was finished, he left a large tip for the waitress behind the counter.

Before he left, he wrote on his ticket... "It's good to see your cooks are just as good from coast to coast, Peter." 

Pete was back in the motor city and looking for a good meal.  He walked into Roma's and was seated in a booth in the back.  Pete looked at the menu and ordered a rack of ribs and sweet corn a side of dices apples and a beer.  Pete was hoping to catch up with Selena but wasn't sure she would be at Roma's he figured he would have to go to Diva's to catch up with her.  

Pete sat at the table eating ribs and drinking red wine.  He was excited at the prospects that were placed before him.  He the meat on the ribs were falling off the bone and the sauce was sweet and tangy.  Pete nodded with delight and the fries were hot and seasoned.  The red wine was very sweet and fruity flavored.   Pete was going to ensure he left a decent tip the service was excellent, and the food was more than expected. 

After a very long day of business Genesis decided to treat himself to a coffee to stay awake a little longer. Although he was exhausted he decided to find the nearest coffee shop for some much needed caffeine. He began walking down 5th avenue where there were a vast number of shops. He saw the coffee shop on the corner.

He started walked toward the shop and grabbed a newspaper along the way. He made his way for the entrance and walked inside. He could smell the very rich smell of coffee grounds. He found the nearest table and plopped himself down. He opened his newspaper and began to read. A few minutes later one of the employee approaches him and asks for his order.

"Can I get a large cup of coffee black with pinch of sugar please"

The barista nodded and grabbed a mug. She headed to coffee pot and poured some coffee. She then walked toward Genesis and handed him his drink..

Vic walked into Roma's and ordered ribs and fries, he wanted something that would be quick to eat and yet still fill him.  He sat at a table and the waiter brought him a mug of beer while he waited.  Vic was home now; Detroit is where he would spend most of his time.  Vic lit a cigarette and leaned back in his seat and slowly release a cloud of smoke while smiling.  He finished his cigarette just as his food was coming out of the kitchen, he nodded with approval as it was sat before him.  He ate with a smile, the sauce on the ribs was sweet and tangy and the fries hot the cold beer washed them down nicely.  

"I'll get you something to go," Bebe told her bodyguard James before telling him to back off at the door.

She walked into Roma's and took a look around. It looked very nice and comfortable, and had a nice, calming feeling about it. It was peak lunch hour, and so she took a seat in a booth towards the back to avoid the mayhem a little.

Only a couple minutes after seating herself, the server walked over and asked her what she would like.

"I'll have a glass of Whiskey, with no ice, and a cheeseburger please," she responded. "But hold the tomato and onion, and add bacon. Then I will also need a cheeseburger to go; with all the toppings."

He nodded as he wrote down her order, and said he would have it out soon.

A few minute later, he returned with her drink, placing it on the table in front of her.

"Ma'am, your food will be out in about ten minutes," he said, "Let me know if you need a refill."

Vic and the guy's walked in for cheeseburgers and fries.  Roma's Cafe was busy, but the food was worth the wait.   Tony found a table for them to sit, Carlos paid for the food and brought the tray over with the help of Ricco.  Vic lit a cigarette as Carlos handed him a cheeseburger.   They started telling jokes as Ricco handled out the fries.  This day they drank soda-pop and just acted like normal everyday joe's. 

Lorenzo and Joey landed infront of Roma's cafe. It was a well known cafe and was looking busy by the looks of it from the outside. They paid the driver and made their way inside. Joey walked infront to ensure no issues and they went right in as the security guard greeted them. 

Lorenzo took a moment and looked around and liked the ambience also, he could see a familiar face Victor-Luchese. He went over and greeted him and by the looks his BGs were also there. He had a word with all and told Victor that he was in Detroit to buy up a place annd do some business. They talked for a bit and Lorenzo took Victors leave as he was famished and had to eat something. 

Joey had a table already booked for them at the corner and they sat down there. The waitress arrived with a menu and Lorenzo asked Joey to order this time. 

Joey went for a whooper of a order: 2 Lamb Chops, and 3 racks and also ordered a whole pizza to go with it 2 glasses of whisky. 

The waitress took down the order and disappeared. She came back with the order pretty quick and placed it down. They both cheers and had their sip of drinks and starting digging in. 

Vic was back in Detroit; he walked into Roma's and saw his favorite booth open.   He went straight to it and sat down with Ricco and Carlos.  They ordered cheeseburgers, fries and beer.  Vic was happy to be back and on the streets.  Vic lit a cigarette and asked the guys how they were doing and as normal they went to breaking each other's balls.  Vic did a lot of laughing and then the food arrived.  Vic went into his pocket and paid as everyone started to eat.  

After leaving a long meeting Ralph is feeling hungry, he looks around sees Roma's Cafe 

He decides to give it a try, as he walks in he is greeted by the hostess

Hostess: Dinner for one?

Ralph: Yes Unfortunately I don't have a date tonight (Laughs)

Hostess: Im sure you can find one if you were looking

The hostess seats Ralph 

Hostess: The waiter will be with you in one minute 

Few minutes go by and the waiter arrives 

Waiter: Good day sir, What are you having for dinner tonight

Ralph: I think I would like to enjoy the steak dinner, medium well

Waiter: We can definitely do that for you, also anything to drink.

Ralph: Yes a canadian whiskey 

Waiter: Comin right up 

Vic walked into Roma's Cafe he was feeling good and looking clean.  Vic was drinking a bottle of beer and eating a sandwich talking with some of the local people from the neighborhood.  They were having issues with paying their water bills, electric bills or rent.  Vic didn't mind taking care of the elderly when he knew that they had no one else they could go to.  Then came the young guys wanting jobs to feed their family or to pitch their ideas on making some fast money.   Vic heard everyone that wanted to talk to him.  

Cassette walked aimlessly around the city of Detroit. There was little work to do so on a mission to enjoy the rest of the evening, Cassette thought a late night stroll would do him some good. Besides, this was his first visit to the motor city, familiarizing himself with the night life could prove worthwhile for future dealings. 

Fifteen minutes had passed since Cassette began his excursion. It just dawned on him that he hadn't taken a single note of his surroundings. He continued onwards with a sense of foreboding that if he looked behind he wouldn't have the slightest clue of which direction he came from.

- Sniff sniff -

His nose reacted to the faint whiff of fine eatery that filled the air. He was drawn to it and all of the sudden his worries were lifted. He followed the scent, like a shadow does its caster, until his feet eventually led him in front of The Roma's Cafe. Swayed by the aroma and now the rumbling of his belly, Cassette made his way inside the seemingly larger than usual Cafe.

Upon entering, he was met with a team of waiters that greeted him inside. The first to speak, Susan, was the one to serve him.

"Follow me" She would say to him before leading him to an empty booth and handing him a menu. "What can I get you to drink?"

"I'll have a Cola"

"Very well. It'll be right out!"

As she stepped out to fetch his soda, Cassette used the brief time alone to review the menu. Everything sounded lovely but he didn't want to choose anything too heavy. He still had to search for his way back to the hotel. With this in mind, it was easy for him to decide from the rest.

"Here you are..." voiced Susan as she set the Cola in front of Cassette. "Are you ready to order?"

"I'll have the turkey with a side of roasted sweet potato." Cassette ordered resolutely.

"Coming right out!" Susan said gleefully after jotting down his words into a palm sized notebook.

Before Cassette drank even a quarter of his glass she had already returned with his meal and a refill. There was nothing quite like the service he had experienced here with the Roma Cafe. His expectation couldn't get any higher at this point. He grabbed the dinner fork to his right and cut into the sliced turkey. He forked the juiciest cut and took a bite. 

At that moment it felt as if the whole room fell silent and he was the only one there alone with his meal. He was reminded of the song that played during his first passion. His vision began to blur as his eye ducts overflowed with tears of joy. The apex of bliss.

"Exquisite..."

After a very long day of business Genesis decided to treat himself to a coffee to stay awake a little longer. Sal walked in and smiled as he enjoyed the aroma of seasoned steaks cooking.  He was seated at a nearby table and handed a menu.  Sal was hoping to meet with a friend.  Sal had two men with him, Popeye and Benny they ordered steaks and potatoes and white wine.  Sal lit a cigarette and smiled again as he was ready to earn some money and make a few friends.  

Skad walked into the Roma's cafe...He was vexed and frustrated with how the first 2 take downs went for him. He asked both his CAs to meet him at the pier point, but none of them showed up there. He had to chase them down with some info from the cops who knew there whereabouts. He had to pay them cash so they'd keep it quiet and give him the details. 

He rushed into the Roma Cafe with Sal and Joey and ordered few coffees, and a dinner menu as they were famished. THey had to keep a low profile and still get the job done, but the word around the street went that Skad had shot down 2 officers and the street got a whiff about it. But he wasn't one to backdown if the word gotten around. 

The order had arrived by the time they sat down and were discussing the details for the next meet up. Sal told him one of the other guys was roaming around in the Business District area and that one of his helpers was following and keeping tabs on him.

"Oh is that the case? Well then lets finish our meals with no rush and we will make our way there. But tell that kid to keep following him no matter what, I don't want to loose him from our eyesight and he hit the table hard when he said that" a few eyes looked at the table but as Skad turned back everyone minded their own business. 

They asked for one more refill of the Coffee before they finished eating their food. Sal got Skad's jacket and had it ready for him as Skad got up. He lit up a cigarette and walked out with the lads....

Sal returned to Roma's with Popeye, Apples and Sammy.  They sat down and ordered four breakfast sandwiches and coffee.  They were getting ready to meet with Wild Bill the boss of the Combination to talk about business with Jimmy Hoffa and the teamsters.  Sal had cash and a keen interest for unions and what he could squeeze from them.  Sal also needed that connection with the teamsters to grow his own businesses.  They breakfast sandwiches were english muffins with egg and sausage with cheese.  It included hot coffee.    

Sal walked into Roma's Cafe looking around, a waitress sat Sal down with the men he was with.  Sal was handed a menu and he smiled and asked for a rack of lamb chops, mashed potatoes and gravey with string beans and two dinner rolls.  Sal also ordered a bottle of white wine for the table.  Sammy and Popeye placed there orders and they handed the menus back to the waitress.  

Sal leaned forward and told the guys that life was good and that they were now making good clean money and that the connections were right and tight.  They then nodded and started talking about Detroit Tigers and how they were doing good this season.  Sal saw a wounded veteran walk in with his family they were seated and ordered.  Sal called over their waiter and paid for their meals.  

Then Sal and the guy's food came out and they started eatting and talking about how great life was and how they made it and how they still had a ways to go.
