Anyone follows Formula 1?

I didn't for a while, but today there was the final GP of this season, and Verstappen and Hamilton started with exactly the same points. This was really epic, F1 races stopped being interesting and thrilling a while ago, but this was different... and at the end Verstappen won by overtaking Hamilton in the last lap, after a last safety car. Really epic.

Very pleased. Hamilton is a legend and it's a testament to how good he is that it became unbelievably boring to follow Mercedes' dominance. This was the best season in a long time and I wouldn't be surprised if it combined with the excellent Netflix partnership to see the numbers trend up again after several years of popularity decline for the sport. 

I’m not an F1 fan. I actually find it a dreadfully dull ‘sport’ to watch. I have been intrigued by the controversy however. Will be interesting to see what happens, for sure.

I only ever used to watch F1 for teh first lap as thats when all the big crashes happened and most of the controversy, then the rest of the race was very strategic and boring and I didnt really enjoy it. I've not watched it since Michael Schumacher was racing though

I use to watch all sorts of racing until I started to drive myself.....then the streets were not safe in my home town and I frequently got chased by the cops. They learn who I was and would just meet me at home....sucked growing up in a small town where everyone new you LOL.

This season was interesting to watch since had some competition.

I used to watch more years ago when michael schumacher was racing and Hamilton started showing up.

as harsh as it may have been on Hamilton, i think it was only right the season ended on the track and not behind the safety car.

more clear rules need to be in place though to avoid all the inconsistency with the race stewards interpretations.

For me Hamilton lost all the respect, no matter how many wins, pole positions, Grand Prix, he was always *sniff sniff* and that is not how a legend of his caliber should behave. Same with NBA and MJ vs LeBron, no matter how good LeBron gets and wins, he will never be what MJ was, with all the *kme kme* and all that shit

I'm a big fan of Ferrari and Schumacher, but I don't think it's fair saying he's the best ever. Hamilton won most of his championship because he had a car so much better than the others, but I think that's quite true also for Schumi. There are a lot of great drivers, that also had crazy skills when the cars were even harder to drive, such as Senna, Prost, Lauda...

That said, I'm happy that Verstappen won and Schumacher record holds still :D

I'm a big Lewis Hamilton fan. Even thought I'm not from UK or anything, his endurance and determination to win races is really motivating and I feel well represented by him. Everything I stand for he stands for as well so a guy that races that well and represents people the way he does deserves all the support.
