Mr_Keating it seems like an interesting idea to me. Perhaps a roast? Everyone loves a good a roast.

How strange Dr_KennethNoisewater ; I had the *exact* same thought When I heard Mr_Keating ‘s reply. If that were something we could arrange, I’d be willing to agree to be a roastee - provided we could rustle up someone able and willing to walk the tightrope of respectful roasting. Obviously anything said in the spirit of the event would be protected, and we could maybe find some prizes for the funniest roasts. Would anyone be interested in joining a roster of roasters though?

Has it occurred to any of you when you tell people publicly that they are not wanted in the streets they may just leave, then you have no one participating.  You Dr. Noisewater told one my own ancestors this, so please don't try to say this just doesn't happen.

Or when you have some one bring topics to the streets, not mentioning any names only the topic, but for some reason the "elitist few" choose to take it personal and start an argument or misdirection  against the poster's character, integrity, etc. instead of constructive dialogue. 

Then you have those storytellers that hijack other peoples stories and take them out of context, which is allowed  simply because their storytelling is great.

These are few of the issues of why people go stagnate in the streets.

I have to respectfully decline your offer. Last time I  accepted a roasting challenge with someone they called me a bully because I made them cry.  It was not laughs anymore, it was suddenly tears and tissues and hellbent feelings for a few months actually , hell they may still have hellbent feelings. I don't know really.

I’ll add 5 bearer bonds to the pot if you can make Dr_KennethNoisewater or Mr_Keating cry, AliceLiddell :P

For reals though, would this be something that would be better done as a team event, since nobody appears to wants to take sole responsibility for a roaster spot? Maybe teams of 3 or 5, contributing roasts for a spokesperson to deliver? That way the insults could be vetted by the other members of the team, to prevent someone taking things too far, or to minimise the risk of someone getting their panties in a bunch over a roast made in good faith?

I do think a roast could be a good laugh, if it’s done well.

Rorschach I obviously upset Mr_Keating enough for him to commit suicide by duel, in Detroit no less.  When people commit suicide in any fashion they have tears at some level. So without even accepting the challenge it appears I have accomplished it. 

Maybe too many stories end abruptly. For a myriad of reasons. Someone shoots a messenger or even guilt by association. Sometimes there is no reason, sometimes there is a very good one. I imagine it would be like if you wrote a serial play about the mafia and end each chapter right in the middle of,

"Since the end is never told we pay the teller off in gold in hopes he will come back but he can not be bought or sold."
