Lol, I was actually thinking about working with the coders here and actually trying to get something like this going...

But right now, I am only a beginner programmer, and coding games as major as that is not going to happen by me anytime soon.

I think it would be pretty fun though! But starting over would SUCK! It sucks to start over now, so starting over in a 3D game would suck even more lol. But don't get me wrong I would play this game, but some aspects of the game wouldn't be as good in 3D.

But it would be nice to have users running around talking to eachother, creating families, all of that stuff.

And it could probably be like the godfather games, you approach potential mobsters without families, and can invite them in. And you rank up and such

But maybe instead of dying, you get "lives". Maybe 10 lives, and you can buy more lives (with credits/in-game money) but they are expensive. And balance the killing out, because someone with a shitload of BGs will lag the game lmao. So maybe their BGs are their crew members and up to 5 BGs.

And when a person dies they go to the hospital for a while. Then they can come out, back to the streets. And the crew members are alerted, so they can pick the boss up in a car or something, or maybe if your in a family, then you get to go to the family hospital lol.

The possibilities are endless lol

But I think something like that would be an actual game. Like on a disk, and everything lol. Probably for consoles and/or PC/Mac. And probably require a lot of money to manage, or a subscription fee to play it.

Yeah, if people bought credits, then it'll probably help a lot to keep the game online and stuff.

Especially if credits were used for lives... Then I think a bunch of credits woulld be bought.

But still keep the aspect of buying credits for in-game money from players and/or a marketplace.

My only thing would be if someone had like 40 lives lmao. But we cant make it only one life, because if its like GTA where you can free roam and shoot people, then it'll be easy to kill someone, and easy to die.

True, but lets say Xyz is a small time thug who did enough to get his gun, and lets say he saw a godfather walking down the street, and pretending he was a potential recruit he caps down the godfather, and then gets killed himself.

The godfather wasted all of his time and hardwork and was killed by some small time thug.

Or lets say dyz is in the gambino family, but he is in disguise or a godfather couldnt tell he was in the gambino family, and dyz easily kills the godfather?

Then again time and hardwork is wasted, because dying is too easy.

Now if, instead of lives, you had a shit load of HP the higher your rank, and you can purchase health upgrades, then it would balance out.

I think that would be fun/interesting to see lol. I don't know exactly how it would work, but maybe busting into the station (would require more than 1 person), shooting down police (police can be NPC or actual players), and going to cells and busting them out. Would require teamwork as you don't wanna die and lose your character to some police lol.

Oh, and there has to be a way to gain HP back lol. Like when you're in your compound it slowly recharges, or you have to go to the hospital to refill health for a fee or something.
