What is the best concert you've seen? Who was the artist or band?

I have a buddy I've known for ten years, Brandon Adams.  He recorded a live album last Friday.  Having seen him grow as a musician, it was great for me to see him at a sold out crowd with everyone singing along to his songs.  There was so much energy there.  It was certainly not the biggest name I've ever seen, or the most people I've ever seen at a show.  But, given the personal connection, it was possibly the best I've been to in a while, and certainly the most enjoyable.

The Download Festival at Donnington, England. My first year was 2006 and i've been every year since, its always awesome!

Slipknot were the best band i've ever seen live!

Mine personally is a draw between Arch Enemy in a little ballroom. Great sound. Nice connection with the crowd. Might see them again in Sept.

The other one is Monsters of Rock. Great line-up of artists and who doesn't love an all day rock and metal festival.

Britney and N Sync summer of 97!

Rush at the start of the summer in Dublin were fantastic, I doubt I'll ever see a gig like it again.

Was At Iron Maiden in Belfast last week, another totally awesome gig but for different reasons to Rush. Loved both gigs equally what I would say is Rush played a 3 hour set, well two hour and a half sets, where as Maiden only played an hour and a half.

The Monsters of Rock festival is now called the Download festival, it changed back in 2000 i think. Its always amazing and the year before last we had the mighty AC/DC!!! Cant get better than that.

athens in chain..also known as Athens Live Concert from Iced Earth, this concert performance is the best ever i`ve seen. They anyway doing masterpiece tunes but same songs was turned into Overmasterpiece in this concert. Im not sayin Iced Earth is the best band ever, but Athens concert was the best concert performance.

As for the best band, as i stated before, ofcourse Death :) Opeth also might be counted as second o/

Here in Canada, the festival that came through here was called Monsters of Rock. Didn't hear the name change, thanks for the heads up though.

As the only concert I've ever attended was a small street performance of a young rap band, this has to be it.
