Criminal Activities & Background
Known as a ruthless gangster who owns an illegal betting shop and presides over most of the local gambling rackets, including unlicensed boxing. Bricktop is in the habit of feeding people who displease him to packs of hungry pigs that will eventually be slaughtered and later used for bacon meat. He learned that there would always be problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently, the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together. And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of 'em, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it?
Then he figured out that the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. After trial and error, he found that you gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. He could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do ya? Being hungry enough pigs will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute.
Hence the expression, 'as greedy as a pig'.
Character Profile & Methodology
Brutal, heartless, and often astonishingly rude, "Bricktop" Bacon has no patience for error and zero empathy for his victims: already running a business that makes a profit on anything that "involves blood and pain," he casually executes screw-ups and traitors in his ranks by having them suffocated with plastic bags and fed to his pigs, often while less-experienced employees look on in abject terror.
He also has something of a temper, often responding to minor irritations with extreme violence: when not resorting to the commonplace plastic bags and hungry pigs treatment, he also stabbed an aggressive gambler in the groin for backtalking, viciously beat a thief with a cane, and had a local gaming arcade smashed up after the owners failed to recruit a boxer for a boxing match.
An intimidating presence despite his age, Bricktop is feared throughout Detroit with good reason: along with his ability to silence a room full of people with a single whisper, he takes great delight in showing off his pig farm to local thugs around the animals’ feeding time, and even greater delight in explaining the mechanics behind his preferred method of corpse disposal. In a few gruesome cases, he also goes to the trouble of ushering them outside - where his men are getting ready to enact the first steps of this method while his victims are still alive and breathing.
