It's not very often that something like this happens, where one person is surviving well enough to take the time to come to the streets and address people. Admittedly I've had to do this somewhat sneakily - there are snipers and spies everywhere afterall.

This speech is a dedication to my crew. They may mostly have worked behind the scenes, but my god were they loyal and dedicated. It is such a shame to see them all going this way. I can honestly say that my time with them has been so fulfilling for me as a crewleader.

I'd like to start this with a description of my life. I began in the past city of New York (Old New York, before they changed their name). In New York I worked as the Right-Hand man to a fellow named Shifty Waffle, he was a good man and an even better leader. He taught me how to laugh at myself, more-so than I thought was possible. From there I had heard that my friend, nay brother, was being given the chance to set up in Las Vegas under the watchful eyes of Caius. Caius was a great leader, he inspired confidence in people and greatness in them himself. Las Vegas was a wonderful city back then, with people like Kurtz at the top of the ladder. After the war with Old New York there were a lot of losses, Caius included. With Las Vegas having no clear leader, the aid of other leadership allowed Marston to take the mantle of Los Angeles and Chade to step up as City Head of Las Vegas.

It was when we moved to Los Angeles that I was given the chance to step up as a leader of my very own family. This family which I built from nothing were incredibly loyal. They were hard working, and always looking for jobs to do to help me out. They really were the hardest working, most friendly people I've ever met. Every single one of them, loyal until death - and even their sons loyal to me before I even knew they existed.

It may sound strange, but knowing that death looms around every corner has made me feel somewhat liberated. Isn't it odd that I feel like that when I know I have limited time left, and in fact I am less free now than I was yesterday?

Marston was a great man. He was friendly, and fair. It is a shame that he was removed like this, in such a short amount of time after receiving the mantle of Godfather.

After the scum suckers out of LV who LA shared hitsquads with PAID the dirty city of Orleans to take us out most would have expected it to be over by now. Yet here you are, still standing, still fighting.

It comes as no surprise that the biggest moron to ever grace a Godfather position (albeit in name and not rank) Chade has decided to act in this cowardly way. My blood's dealings with him have found that he is nothing if not a scumbag...

*Him and his cock of love, Whiskey discussing a member of chicago and how they need to "keep an eye out for him", why? Because his great, great, great, great (etc) grandpappy shot a few folks once.

*Turning his back on EvilClown- after the Clown had done nothing but stand up for the city of Las Vegas.

*Threatening to take away his own hitters access to the sleeping bums list (IA list) just because they didn't put their names down. How retarded is THAT? It's like cutting your nose off to spite your face. Especially as Las Vegas has a very poor amount of hitters, you'd have thought that if one of his hitmen was killing at all he'd be happy.

Now I'm not going to make any claims about knowing the intricacies of the current situation between Los Angeles, Vegas and New Orleans, but I just couldn't let this one pass. From what you're saying, Chade wanted the members of his city to make a note of any targets they intended to go for. Seems perfectly reasonable. And some people chose to ignore the request of their city head, so were threatened with punishment in the form of their privileges being revoked. Again, seems perfectly reasonable. If people are allowed to do as they please there would be chaos. If people need a bit of punishment in order to get them to follow their city rules, then so be it. Never should there be the possibility of cherry picking what orders you would like to follow and those you would prefer to ignore. Chade is well within his rights to remove access to people violating this particular stipulation.

Anyway, this is not a topic about leaders of cities. This is about DeadlySin's address to the rest of us, letting us know of his intent to go down guns blazing. As a neutral outsider in this particular conflict, I admire his dedication, much as I admired that of Sho when he remained the last man standing from New York way back when, despite having to chase him around the eight cities for what felt like an eternity.

God rest the souls of all the fallen, and when the dust settles may business continue as usual. Don't mourn your dead for dying, remember their actions during life.

The points you mention have been gnawing at me. I bit my tongue as I figure they had nothing to do with us, like you said we know nothing of the intricacies with todays events, but I can't help but to add weight to your assessment on those "issues" dynamo mentioned. I think we'd be hard pressed to find any city leader acting differently from Chade in these matters. If there are rules to follow and a person doesn't, he/she must be punished. Allowing people to simply come and go and do as they please while under your protection would have no benefit, there must be order in this thing of ours or we will descened into nothing more than simple criminals.

As a descendant to one of those members, I'd like to say, my father enjoyed the short period of time under you as long as it lasted, sir. Had he not seen a good person in yourself and for the old days, he would have went to bed and hoped he would survive till you die then join another crew. But We don't see any honor in such acts.

You were a good leader, sir. You earned yourself a position in the top echelon of the city of Los Angeles. You have showed nothing but determination and courage so far, which for you have my admiration.

I'd like to take this moment and congratulate you on your Don rank. A bit late but at least it finally showed up.
