The idea is basically that a CL or hands can tick a box while creating a HQ thread which gives the option to have the thread viewable by only Mademen+ in the family. The reasoning behind this is that while back alley threads may be used at the moment, anyone with a link can still view the thread and the thread creator wouldn't know. By having the option to make the mademan+ threads in the HQ it adds another layer of security and also helps to create another goal for people to work towards when they are starting out in a family.

I think that this idea is great. I can see many pros to it and no cons so I think that it should be implemented

I like this idea, but an alternative I can suggest, would take a bit longer steps, but would keep the admins from having to put more coding in the game:

Create a thread in the back alley.

Do a massive mail to your made+ that you want to see the thread, that has the link in the message

Clearly you missed the exact part where i addressed that issue. ANYONE with a link to a back alley thread can access said back alley thread.

I think this is a very interesting idea. What purpose would such a thread serve though?

But on that same note if someone really wanted to share the contents of the HQ thread all they need to do is copy and paste it :)

This idea is wonderful mostly because in a real Mafia Family anyone who was not Made was kept out of the loop except for their particular part. If my vote counted I'd vote yes.

I really do like this idea, it certainly adds to the feeling that you are a made member of the Cosa Nostra.

And to address the question made by 'Chubbeh' about people C&P'ing. If you've bumped someone up to being a fully fledged member of your organisation, you should surely be able to trust them when it comes to keeping a secret thread, secret.

I agree with Chubbeh here, and to be honest Favara if they're that trusted then you shouldn't be worried about them sharing the link to a back alley thread either, eh? Just a thought ;P

i agree with johnjo, in the real mafia a mere mafiso would not be kept in the loop of all goings on in a crew and only the trusted of the family would know of all the familys buiness, i don't how needed this is due to the use of back alley threads but of course as already mentioned this security risk that does exist which means information in these threads can be leaked just by the sharing of a link. I do support the idea but as i am not a coder i'm unsure of how much work would be needed to implement this and whether the time needed outweighs the benefits of this update.
