I had an idea the other night that I think is kinda of a cool idea and also very useful. Many of us Mafioso have died in for various reasons with large sums of cash in out bank accounts, some with hundreds of thousands others with tens of millions. Well then our sons and daughters come around and no matter what their parents had the kids always got somewhere around 30,000. Well what if there was a swiss bank account, that a person could put money into but not take out, or take out on a limited basis like so many transactions a month or you can only take out say 10% of the account per week. The contents of this bank account could then be given to the persons kin when said person died. It would be like a trust fund or a savings account so that in the future their kin can have a better life.
I know one of the arguments against this would be "well then during wars people could out all their money in that account and just take it right back out when the war is over." Well that is not true. If we were to limit the amount of money that can be withdrawn or even perhaps charge a hefty fee for early withdrawl then then person can put all their money into the account at the start of the war yes, but they will not get it all back out.
I think this would be a pretty cool idea considering many of us die with millions of dollars and have no way of passing that down to our kin for better use. |

YES i am all for that. this way it creates a checks and balances for wartime and allows you to get money your parents worked hard for. |

I like this idea, but one question, Rico. Recently we've had a problem with people having themselves demoted to purchase bodyguards at a cheaper rate. Couldn't a similar thing be used with this, where a mafioso with say...three or four million dollars, suicides/retires and three or four bodyguards at thug prices? |

yes by all means they could, however, they would lose all progress on their current character. This means all gun stats and all achievements and all other stats would be gone and they would need to start all over again so i doubt the benefits of that would outweigh the negatives |

I don't like this. There is already FAR to much money in this game and most people fell this way. When you die if you want to keep money you send it to a friend and hope they give it back. If this was added in everything would have to go up for example I fell bgs would have to go up at least 5 times. It would also mean less people coming on as it would take far to long to get any where (a few years). Think of it in a way of say people who have played for 2 years say they have had 5 characters and they banked 10 mill each time do you think it is fair for an old player to have 50 million right when they start and someone who is brand new to the game gets $500? I personally don't. If anything the new players should get more money as some people have no problem getting money right when they start a new character |

As SerialStabber says, there is already too much money in the game. With credits already carrying over to a new account, you wouldnt need this. Most high rankers will die with 5-10 credits. At current rates, that $2-4million, which imo is already too much! Issue you have with the credits is people buy them with real cash, so they need to be allowed to carry over...
I never want 'wills' 'inheritance' or 'swiss bank accounts' to ever happen!
sorry |

I agree with dank and stabbed we need to lose some of this money floating around and it would be fair for the newer members |

I think this idea is a relatively good one tbh. Everyone says there's too much money in the game etc but what's the difference in holding credits as opposed to IG money, you could charge a percentage of the total money being held every 5 days or every week in order to keep your money in the bank etc. This will help many people who don't have RL money for credits, or people who simply don't have a full grasp of the whole credit thing. Idk the whole 'there's too much money thing' doesn't hold up well simply because in reality this would make no real differnce to the amount of money being ig atm. This would help some newer folks I believe and motivate them to keep playing if anything even when they do die! |
