Hello everyone! I would like to announce that I am planning to get some poker games going soon! I feel that though they’ve gone a bit out of fashion, it might be good to get some games going again, to get people sitting around the table talking again, and of course to get people drunk and lose money again. It’s been far too long since I’ve seen some grueling six-hour games, the cigar smoke, the hor d’ourves, the stale pee.
So, I guess we will see you all there, and don’t expect any strip poker from Lil Ole Macarena; those games happen in private. Tee hee. But surely we’ll get Honestease betting his pants quickly. PlagueGuy might even just bet him on the table… Honestease is currency now. It’s a thing. I seen it.
I’ve announced this here out in the open to try to get a general gauge of who’s looking to get in on the action, but I’m hopefully it won’t be too hard… Hopefully, some VIPs will come as well, and high rollassssss… all the high rollasss. We’ll also try to get everyone all you can eat prime rib. I can’t promise high quality cuts, but it’ll be fatty and it’ll soak up any alcohol. If you want some asparagus, that’ll cost extra. Sides are always extra, but you'll also get free refills and we'll go easy on the ice.
It should take a few days to get this stuff organized, but I’ll be sure to give an update when I can. More details to follow. |

I think a tournament or perhaps multiple tournaments at varying times on a specific date would be ideal. But I'm a fan of the idea, I can use an alternate source of income. |

A poker tournament, you say? Now there’s something I’m actually good at. I’d like to see one set up sometime in the near future, and I might be able to help organize something of the sort if you would like. Poker’s been on a little bit of a dying trend recently, it would be nice to have something to spice it up every now and then!
Regarding Honestease, he is always on the table for the grabs. I would like to point out however that he might get a little too crazy, but it shouldn’t be too bad. He’s easy to hold on to, and if you attack his pride, he’ll do anything. |

On his weekly Sunday stroll through the streets, NoahRugs overhears a decent size group organizing a poker game. The conversation caught his attention so he moves closer. After listening in for a short time he interrupted the conversation with his usual short and sweet approach.
"I'll be there when its setup, have a good day"
He continues strolling on through the streets to see what else he will see or hear. |

Darkening wiggled in the chair as he tried to adjust his pants. The build up of sweat had only worsen over the gruelling long hours. Darkening never became accustomed to sitting, always preferring to keep himself moving, never being still. He always thought sitting was how you made yourself a target. Hunters rarely shot a galloping deer. But for this special occasion he overcame his discomforts and pushed through. He grunted as he adjusted again, frustrated at the silly dress code policy. If they required him to wear pants, then they should invest in some damn fans to cool this place down. Darkening shook his head as he tried to focus, realising that it was about to be his turn. His heart started to beat faster as the thrill began to envelope him. He began to grin at the excitement from his one and only addiction. Well second, after chicken nuggets. He reached into the inside of his right jacket pocket to pull out a golden crispy chicken nugget. The crunch as his teeth bit into the heavenly gem, still warm from his body heat, made the other players around him look up with disgust. Darkening adjusted his hood with his other hand as their stares began to make him uncomfortable. Another concern of Darkening’s was the attention he received at sitting at the tables. Always preferring to stick to the shadows and stay away from crowds this addiction really did bring out the worse in him. The dealer finally nodded to Darkening, “Call or raise?” he asked. Darkening checked his cards for the 100th time. He had a unique ability to instantly forget what his hand was the moment he put his cards back down. Darkening grinned, though it was hidden by the shadow of his hood. “All in!” he yelled, pushing all his chips into the centre of the table. The other players gasped while others groaned. As the dealer went around, the players folded one by one until there was only one other player left. The player, who looked to be some unknown earner from another city kept looking at his cards then back at Darkening, contemplating what he should do. The earner winced as the crunch of another nugget interrupted his thoughts. “Call!” The earner said. Darkening frowned as the dealer pooled all the chips together. “Your cards sir?” The dealer asked Darkening. Darkening flicked his cards over revealing two queens. He had a three of a kind. The other players began to whisper amongst themselves as they waited for the earner to reveal his cards. As he tried to his hide the obvious triumph in his eyes the earner turned his cards around. Flush. Darkening slammed the table with his fist as the dealer called the earner the winner and pushed the pile of chips towards him. After hours and hours of waiting for his moment, slowly being drained by the blinds, Darkening played this one hand for him only to lose all his chips. $200k down. As quickly as his anger arose it was gone and Darkening nodded to the earner, acknowledging the good game. Darkening stood up from the table and walked away towards the bar, already planning to go back to his apartment to get another $200k. Darkening smiled, not bothered by the fact that even though he spent every night indulging in this addiction, he was absolutely terrible at it. Luckily, he earned enough through other means to cover most of his loses that the Boss wasn’t that angry. As he crunched down on another nugget the earner he lost to came up to him. “Good game friend,” he said, “I have seen you here nearly every night..” Darkening moved his nuggetless hand behind his back reaching for his revolver. If this earner has been watching him then it can’t be for any good reason. “There is a potential big poker tournament being organised by the Godfather of NY Macarena. They have been putting out a call to anyone interested in playing. You should consider it. I would love another chance at taking all your money.” With a chuckle the earner walked away. Darkening stroked his chin, leaving an oily nugget residue, as he contemplated this poker tournament. Then, with his mind made up, Darkening left the room to head back to the streets. He was going to make a few visits today. It was time a few debts to him needed to be paid. When this poker tournament starts, Darkening wanted to be sure that he would have all his fund available to throw at it. |
