I was walking through the streets this evening, heading for the busy bars to get some late night drinking and maybe some entertainment when I hear a "Psst" from down a dark alley. I ignore the noise and make for the nearest bar. As I approach the door I hear a whisper. "Oi, is that you Vengence?" He knows my name, either a friend having some fun or an enemy luring me into a trap. Curious, I reach for my gun and place it in my jacket pocket then make for the alley. "Hello? Who's there? Silouette, is that you being a plank again?" I can see no-one so I turn to leave. "Vengence, I have something for you, a note from a very reliable source." Realising it's not Sillouette's voice and not sure what to say, I ask: "What note? Who gave it to you?" The reply sounds like it came from behind me. "Just as I'd been told, always asking questions. It doesn't matter where it came from Vengence, it just matters that it's true, it's true and it's up to you to tell everyone." At the there's silence. "Where is the note?" Nothing. "Hello? Where is the note?" Silence. Nervous, I slide my hand into my pocket to grasp my gun and it's gone, instead I find a piece of paper. Suddenly feeling exposed, I walk swiftly out of the alley into the light, looking for the unidentified thief but there's no-one there. I hold the note up to the light and read: You witnessed "ScummedRectumPoof" and "RubsMen4Glory" pole dancing for "ISell" and "HaltCagedAlien". The note, it's scrambled the names . . . |
