Loads of things are making me feel old and ancient recently, I blame trendy things like the Tik Tok and slang I just don't understand anymore. Not sure when I became a grumpy old person, but I think we've all got to just embrace it! In the spirit of embracing the fact I am no longer young and hip anymore...what is something that you are nostalgic for?

It can be something that used to be better 'back in the day', or a website or a game that no longer exists, a fashion that will never come back in style, or a piece of tech that is no longer supported, etc. You get the idea! Looking forward to reading some answers!

I grew up playing those old Flash games (Before that Yahoo had like games to download) but in my memory, there was one game that I forgot the name, but it was SOOOOOO HUGE, like for real. Dragon Quest or something? It was browser, it had good artwork, spells, huge amount of content, levelling and such. Imagine real MMORPG like WOW, but on Browser and it is turn based... I found it DRAGON FABLE (single player, apologies)

Hydra, I never played Dragon Fable, but when you were describing a game was like on the fringe of your memory it reminded me of a game I used to play that was also like a forgotten memory. I just tried to Google it, and I have such scraps of memory of it that my Google search yielded a lot of nothing. But somehow, in the brilliance of the internet web search, I was able to find it on a list of online games played in the 2000s! I seriously love the internet.

I'm thinking of Gunbound, you basically shot at other people and tried to kill them with bombs and lasers and stuff, but when you attacked and you missed you'd hit the ground a crater would form. It was all about getting your angles right, in an Angry Bird kind of way. It's no longer available on PC, but I just found out I can play on phone! Will the wonders never cease...

I used to play Gunbound too but I was terrible at it so nothing nostalgic about that for me.

I've been playing Maple Story a little bit because my friend was feeling nostalgic about it. The reboot servers were great for leveling quickly so I can reach the late game pretty quickly. However, the grinding begins there again and I stopped after a month or two.

My personal biggest nostalgic is actually Ragnarok Online. I got to know some of my friends through that game and still get in contact with them once in a while. Sadly, as I grow older, it gets harder and harder to get friends to play games together so I don't think I'll be playing for long even if I go back to it again.

Hence, I found MR and I'm having a great time here!

i feel nostalgic when watching old cartoons, example: Tom and Jerry, Dungeons & Dragons,  etc. I like to watch the Tooncast Channel because there are a lot of old cartoons. Old movies give me this feeling aswell: top gun, ghost so on. 

I am nostalgic for lava floors; fort tents with couch cushion foundations; picnics of crackers, cheese and sliced apples; skinned knees; mud soaked little league uniforms; and innocence. 

I would have to say the holidays from younger days.  Our family would get together, with Grandparents, parents, an Aunt and Uncle and the kids for all holidays.   There would be Easter Egg Hunts for Easter, Christmas gift exchanges, special drinks made with the blender, some card games with light gambling.  Always something fun to do.  Those days slowly went away as the older family passed away one by one.  Holidays are just not the same anymore.  :(  

hehe, 8 track players.  Lava lamps, strobe lights. Roller skating rinks. Disco. and on and on.  I miss phones with a 50" cord attached haha. I miss buying a tv and plugging it in to watch tv.  I think our technology has exploded in my life time.  So I am running out of ideas here and just putting as many words down so I can, well you know.  I am almost there, just a few more words.  Ok, thanks for posting this topic, I enjoyed being Nostalgic.  

I just had a blast of nostalgia tonight, and didn't know I need it. There is a cool retro arcade that has games from 1984 and earlier. Played lots of old ones such Star Wars, Spy Hunter, etc. Forgot that Budweiser had their own game. All in all, it was pretty awesome. 

What are we going to do tonight? The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world.

I do miss childhood and cartoons, but honestly, not as much as having a good adulthood. Like if you have good career, decent paying job and such, you can afford so many things, so many hobbies I am able to do now, just because I have income as opposed to stuff that I had to miss out due to being a kid with zero money.

In my book, healthy adult 20-55 age is waaaay better than being a 18th year old kid with some cash and like, main thing being "party"

I'm nostalgic for racing down the neighborhood streets when the lamp posts turned on, trying to get home as fast as possible so you could make it home for dinner and mom didn't yell. I'm nostalgic for 'night games' when the cul-de-sac of kids would get together and play different types of games that included the yards of all the kids living there. 

I was talking with my friends not too long ago.

Told them our first internet service was Dail Up. 

We had to shut our computer off so Mom could use the phone.

Does anyone remember that?
