| Meditation, Do you do it? | Started by: Hacker on Mar 18, '22 18:45 |

I used to meditate all the time but I am slowly getting back into it. I usually sit cross-legged, close my eyes, back straight and take deep breaths while imaging a black space in my mind. If that doesn't work, I use the image of a forest. I also tend to have natural or calming music playing in the background. |

I meditate for a few minutes every day. I used it to focus on what I want to do and how to do it correctly. Meditation is not chanting its more of a way to clear your mind of all thoughts a blank mind so you can see your self doing things you have been training to do and doing it the correct way. i.e Karate classes. |

| I really enjoy meditation. I feel so much calmer and clear minded once I've done it and I look forward to it. I try and fit it in as regularly as I can. I think meditation can also come in different forms because I get the same feeling while swimming or stuffing envelopes at work during flu season. | |

meditation, you definitely need it. Why? Because you keep giving me the same task to post in an outside thread and I always don't get it on the first try, so I then meditate. Hopefully this will do. |

Meditation is good, although it doesnt work for everyone. It needs some training and a lot of people quit at first try. |

| No i dont. I dontvhave the patience for meditation. I feel like it is a waste of time as well. Why sit around in silence? It makes no sense to me. Surely there is more to it but i just don't get it. | |

Sitting still meditation gives me an itch.
But I have a store of staff and 2-stick patterns learned over years in the martial arts, and the simple patterns can be the base of an active meditation when you focus on the movement and the breath. |

The meditation that Fortunato and I have been doing for a while is grounding. Any time of day we will just go outside barefoot and sit in the yard and unwind, allowing our bodies to soak up the earth's energy and benefits to our bodies. Over the past few weeks of doing this as often as we can with His work schedule, I have seen an improvement in a lot less back and hip pain. |

Yes. My meditation consists in making 2 big lines of cocaine, blowing heavy metal or techno on and jumping like a crazy mofo |

Nope and I never really thought about it. Maybe I should do it though because I have been sleeping horribly the past three months and it has only gotten worse. |

| I would love to try meditation. It seems to really work to reduce the stress of everyday interactions. My mind can not seem to relax enough for a few seconds never mind a min or two. | |
