Don ShinigamiK sent Lancelot to bring me to his office.  “Oh boy” I said to myself when Lancelot told me he wanted to see me.  We walked back to his office.  When we arrived he asked me to have a seat and if I wanted a drink.  I knew right then and there he had a favor to ask.  I went over to the bar poured myself a shot of cognac and had a seat at his desk in front of him.

He told me that I have assisted him so much with the renovations in The Undercity, had done such a good job he wanted me to organize the celebration for the new Godfather of Corktown. 

He said he, Godfather - Chairman @SatoruGojo, and  Godfather R-L_Stine all knew that HeadHunterX was a good man, a man of honor and great pride.  They felt no one was more deserving of the distinguish position than him. 

Don ShinigamiK turned to the desk behind him and uncovered a square box.  Underneath was a glass case holding the severed head of the NPC Godfather Tony Headless.

Lancelot and I just looked at each other then after the initial shock I said “well I guess congratulations are in order.”

Don ShinigamiK said they all wanted it to be an extravagant celebration.  He gave Taraji a shit load of money and told her to share no expense and that’s exactly what she did.

JohnnyTorrio, Fishtoes, BlackNoir , Apollyon  StaleDonuts and Kes all called on their connections to make it a great success.

Just before the celebration was ready to start Taraji took one more look around.  The place was fabulous, plenty of  booze,  tables of food fit for a king, waiters waiting with trays of champagne, the hold works.

With the repugnant head on display the celebration began. The large banner across the banquet room sported.

Godfather HeadHunterX.

HeadHunterX arrives to the celebration with a big smile across his face. He notices Taraji near the microphone beckoning him to approach...

"First of all, thank you Taraji for setting this all up. It is much appreciated. I am  not one to make big speeches but I only felt it was right to at least show some deserving respect. The list is long of those who have supported me on the way here. However I wanted to give special attention to SatoruGojo for putting his trust in me and never thinking twice about it. I also want to give a big thanks  to ShinigamiK for helping me set up my own family in Detroit and I am proud to see him continue to do good work with his own family. JohnnyTorrio you have been a tremendous help keeping this family going in the right direction, especially with all of the craziness that has happened recently. Finally a big thank you to R-L_Stine. You were the one who took me in from the very start and have had my back since day 1. I will always be extremely appreciative of everything you have done. I could continue on and on but I do mean to keep this short so one parting thank you to all of those who came back to the family and continue to show your support daily. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to continuing to see big things happen for this city. With that, let the party begin!"

Vic walked slowly looking around the room.  Ricco point Vic in the direction of his new Godfather.   Vic nodded as he spotted Godfather HeadHunter and JohnnyTorrio talking with Don Shinigamik.  Vic grabbed a glass of champagne from off the tray of a waiter walking past.  Vic then walks over towards them and greets his Godfather.  Vic congratulated his Godfather, telling him that he was very happy for him and was honored to be invited to the event.

Then Vic finish his drink as he placed his empty glass on the table and rescanned the room and spotted Taraji talking with Lancelot and Apollyon.  Vic saw that she was busy, so he greeted her with a slow head nod and then continued walking around the room.  Vic knew that the rest of the city would turn out to meet and greet and congratulate the HeadHunter.  

Stale walks in to the room and immediately steps behind his boss R-L_Stine for a small level of protection. You see, even though he is stale, the eyes of the crowd always focus with hungry intent when ever he enters a room.

Gradually as time passes so do their gazes cease. Stale makes his way to the man of the hour and raises his glass of whiskey he's recently retrieved from bar. The sides of his mouth curl down and a nod of encouragement shows HeadHunterX that Stale knows he's earned it. He then moves to the side to allow others time with the man of the hour and he goes off to find some fried dough to consume.

Lorenzo was standing in the back end making sure everyone invited was coming through and no uninivited person was around. Meanwhile he rang Freyja, TildaTrumbauer, DickBrewer and Alexia0527 and asked them to hurry up as the party was getting started and most were coming through. 

Meahwhile Lorenzo went over to Taraji to confirm the details of the buried Godfather and if it was true, and it was all just exactly as he had been told. 

Lorenzo himself was well dressed and pretty keen. As he walked into the center of place. Meanwhile he took a turn towards the bar and picked up a bottle of Rémy Martin Louis XIII Cognac which he had saved there for this occassion specially. He had it ordered and bought through before hand. He picked it up and walked over to HeadHunterX with 2 glasses in his hand. "A hearty congratulations Hunter. The tides keep changing and we go with the flow, but you have come a long way and a well deserved Godfather promotion. Cheers to that" as he handed him the glass and they sipped it bottoms up. 

He gave him a hug and shook his hand and said "Ill let you continue to be the man of the hour, as its your day and time and we will catch up again when you have time bud" and he walked down by lighting up his cigar. 

As I enter the room, I hear sounds of laughter, music in the background, glasses clinging, and celebration. A cocktail waiter approaches me supporting a silver tray with his arm with champagne glasses filled and offers me a drink.  I accept and gladly take a flute and sip.  I look around and see where Godfather HeadHunterX is sitting.  Fellow members are congratulating him and I get in line.  I mingle while waiting my turn then suddenly it's my turn and I set my champagne glass down and approach Godfather HeadHunterX. He makes a motion with his hand for me to come over and I do.  His hand resting on the arm of the chair I bend down and kiss the ring and as I rise I call out, Godfather and he nods.  I rise and immediately look for the nearest waiter and fetch me another glass of champagne and it's time to celebrate.

The name HeadHunterX was familiar to Constipated. He digs out his grandfather's diary and locates some favorable and interesting writings that expressed challenging good times. He places the book back in his box and wonders if he will get to enjoy the same experience. He could only hope this to be possible. 

Godfather HeadHunterX any man in good standings with my grandfather is good in my book. Congratulations to you, your crew and the great city of Detroit.

Vessel attended the ceremony with a gift to commend the new Godfather. Inside was a box of cigars, King Edward's. It was the best Vessel could offer, his money didn't extend very far after all.

Congratulations Godfather HeadHunterX! Your sacrifice and dedication to the people around you are paying dividends! Well deserved.

after the ceremony had finished i handed HeadHunter a gift this sir is not only a gift for my godfather but its a thank you gift aswell he said with a smile.

Well my friend i would like to Congratulat you on your new postion so happy for you and ive enjoyed evey second of it here in detroit with all you guys and will love every second more.

Congratulations Godfather HeadHunterX

Putting on one of his tailor made custom suits, he stood in front on the mirror and checked his tie, aligning it properly, finally having a chance to celebrate a good occasion once more. Looking over to Blacknoir, he requested an opinion, "Well? How does this suit look?". As per usual, no words of reply came, just a nod of Noir's head as he checked his watched and tapped it, trying to tell Satoru they were running late, without actually using words.

"Yes, yes, I know Noir. I had to handle some stuff but HeadhunterX has worked his ass off for Detroit so I wouldn't wanna miss this occasion."

Looking out through the window, he noticed that their ride was ready, the driver raising his hand up to signal that their arrival was welcomed. "Come, we should head out Noir."

As they finally reached their destination, he was happy to see many familiar Detroit faces in the crowd, all arriving to show they support and praise for the new Corktown Godfather. Approaching the man of the hour, he removed a small but hefty weighted envelope from his suit blazer, shaking Headhunters hand and then offering a warm embrace to the gentleman. "I wanted to ensure that you know how proud I am of you Headhunter. It's been a pleasure to have you in Detroit and on this journey with us. You showed that hard work has its own merits and that when people invest in the community as a whole, they will often reap the biggest rewards. I look forward to continuing to work alongside you Godfather and as always, I am available should you need me."

With a smile and a nod, he stepped back for a moment, looking around to see where Noir had run off to, noticing him over at the buffet table, scanning through the selection of danish treats on offer, cautiously checking to see if any contained nuts for some reason.

Terrah had finished her business finally and was able to have a time to go Headhunter's congratulations party. She enjoyed parties, but wasn't so keen on gathering in groups. Especially this many heads of the cities in the same place, it was dangerous. Yet, that was the lifestyle they all chose, one of danger. She entered the gathering  and nicely ribboned box in her hand with a pleasant smile on her face as she looked around the room. Detroit had indeed grown well. She spotted Godfather  Headhunter speaking with her  Boss, Godfather  Gojo so she meandered through the crown till Godfather Gojo had finished. 

Terrah approached Godfather Headhunter and extended her hand and shook his after he took hers." Congratulations Godfather Headhunter, a well deserved for hardworking man of the family." Her tone pleasant she handed him the box. "A gift to help you relax on those long hard nights." She had hopped he would enjoy the bottle of whisky everyone else seemed to enjoy it when she shared it. She departed him and went to carouse among the guests, yet watchful as large gatherings like this were a potential target for rivals, one had to be ever alert.

Giorgio had been invited to the party by Taraji and while, he was a bit late to the party, it seemed things were still going. As he parked his car and arrived, he saw many familiar faces and many faces that he may have recognized but didn't know. As he walked around he saw two familiar faces though and walked over to greet them.

"Hello Victor!" He shouted across a span of about ten feet to get his attention. Giorgio laughed at it as he walked over. "Great to see you here my friend, what a momentous occasion" He then took a glass from a nearby waitress who also offered one to Victor. "Care for a drink friend?" He said as he sipped the drink. "Is that Billy over there?" Giorgio pointed out a man a little ways away that looked like our own Billy Costigan.

"I must go congratulate Godfather Headhunter in person before I keep going" He said as he tipped his hat to the family consigliere. He wandered around until he found now, Godfather HeadHunterX who was shaking the hand of several important politicians and businessmen within Michigan.

He walked over and shook the mans hand. "An honor, sir" He said as he bowed to show his respect. "I congratulate you very much on this esteemed day" Giorgio said as he bowed again and went to look for Victor and Billy.

R-L_Stine made his way into the celebration a bit late.... as usual.   He had the best intentions of showing up earlier but the seemingly never-ending train of parents and lawyers (well, just one) looking for money took up far too much of his time these days.     It's not that money is in short supply, but as a matter of course he doesn't part with it easily, if at all.

R.L. took a second to take in the scene, quite a glorious party Taraji put together...as expected.    HeadHunterX holds a special place in this old man's heart.    Their family lines had never crossed paths before.    Nevertheless, R.L. was blessed with stumbling upon this young thug who turned out to be the epitome of a hard-working criminal.

No credit is due to the old man though.    HeadHunterX could have easily been just another gangster who only cared about themselves rather than the greater good.    R.L. got lucky though, and stumbled onto a diamond in the rough when he recruited the young lad.

HeadhunterX 's family line had never even run a crew before, much less been a Godfather (I hope I'm remembering this correctly, I'm old after all....) Yet no one was more deserving of the advancement when the time came.     This is a credit to the man's work ethic, loyalty and honesty.   Nothing else.     This was not a product of shortcuts nor nepotism.   It was simply a case of the cream rising to the top.

After quite a bit of time gazing at the man of honor, almost to the point where it got a bit creepy, R-L_Stine approached the newest Godfather to say a few words...

"HeadHunterX , I couldn't be more proud that your roots are in 12th street.   You are a great example of what my district, as well as our city, stands for.    We are a city of opportunity for the deserving, regardless of what history you may or may not have with us.    As a youth, you dedicated yourself towards the progression of the city and as you aged, the city repaid you.     I couldn't be happier for you and wish you well during the remainder of your journey."

And with that, R-L_Stine made his way towards the bar.... he was craving some grenadine.

Kamarile got all dressed up put on a sexy little red dress, put her hair in a french twist and placed on her best earrings. She then grabbed her mink stole, and the best bottle of wine she could find, and a very nice gift she had wrapped. Kamarile then waived at her body guard Solomon as she left the Chicago Boarding Room. She took a short flight back to Detroit.  There was a very big celebration happening. HeadHunterX had become Godfather. Kamarile was excited, she had always heard about these celebrations and now she gets take part in congratulating a Godfather. She was very excited to celebrate. She also was a bit nervous a lot of powerful people would be at this celebration. 

As she walked into the building it was immaculately decorated with all sorts of party supplies, there were people milling around. It took her a moment to find Taraji who is the right hand of her family. She also noted a few other friendly faces. She headed to the table and set down the gifts as well as a card that stated "Congratulations Godfather HeadHunterX! I am looking forward to all the great things you will be doing! You have worked hard and shown the world the result."   She then grabs a glass and starts to mingle.
