Yeah, the clip was a bit weird. First it felt like he was smiling about the joke and the next thing we see is him stepping up and smacking him. In the end, understanding his wife has some kind of sickness/issue, I think it's in appropriate to joke around about it or stage something for it. 

Definitely real. And mega awkward. Will Smith obviously has some serious issues he needs to deal with. All the best to him tbh!

I feel sorry for Big Willie. The whole public thing with his wife cheating on him must have taken quite a mental toll. There are a lot of rumors/indications he is or was a practicing Scientologist, which means he is also rather stupid, making life harder for him. I do not envy the people tasked with aiding his rehabilitation from a strange, cuckolded sadsack back into a Hollywood star because it sounds like a job for not one, or two, not even three, but at least four men in suits, but he is unlikely to receive that help while there are still carburetors to be smashed. 

The question in my mind is why a slap and not a punch to the face? This may very well have been staged for publicity. 

It was a real slap you can tell when you slow it down. People are saying that Chris braced for impact so he knew it was coming but he did see it coming a second before it landed and you can see him flinch. You can tell that was the last thing Chris expected to happen. He had his arms behind his back all relaxed, then it happened. New info came out that Smith was asked to leave after it happened but refused.

I think that Chris Rock should sue that guy for all he is worth. You can't be hitting people in this day and age. And I mean, an open handed strike like that? Wow. Do we know if Rock has brain damage or anything? I could definitely see that due to the impact. CTE for sure.

It could've turned into a Million Dollar Baby moment with the right momentum. Million Dollar Chrissy rooted himself to the ground like a statue though, good man. He's got a future in the WWE as The Iron Cheek if he ever wanted it. 

I think it might've been staged. If not the timing was impeccable with Chris' tour because all his tickets are sold out. I started to speculate that Will is going to show up at one of his shows, maybe the last one and they hug LOL

That was some punkass shit.  Will slaps him then turns his back, walks away and waits until he is back in his chair to talk shit. He's lucky Chris wasn't packing, 

i don't know; i don't really care.  Will Smith is a good actor; I have never heard of the other guy.

But making personal jokes like that is pretty unpleasant.  To respond when asked a few days later and say he was still processing it seems to be a bit thick.  There really wasn't much to process; he said nasty personal stuff about another man's wife, for his own benefit, and got slapped or not.

It was all fake. Totally fake. I don't even think he made contact if you look closely. You would expect more of a Cama hit if he was doing it for real.

It did look bad and he lost the awards for the next ten years due to the slap. 

He did apologise to everyone for what had happened including Chris Rock. 

Maybe he was worried for Jada. 

When I first saw it I thought it was an act.  But when Will started yelling Keep my wife's name out of you f'ing mouth I realized he was serious.  

He is blinded by the want of Jada love and Jada doesn't love him and each week she screws him over with her comments.  Chris should have sued and Got a few million out of it.
