The lights slowly dim as the band comes to a  stop. A pale white light issues forth from the beehive in the fountain, and suddenly thousands of stars are projected against the ceiling. The whole of the effects is to canopy the dance area under the heavens. A pinpoint dot of light appears at the top of the stairs leading to the second level of the casino, as it grows in scope, a solitary figure comes into view...

I begin to make my way down the steps slowly, raising the microphone from my side, I begin thanking the crowd for attending the opening. "Night's like these are magical and best spent with the people that mean the most to us. That  is my wish for  everyone tonight.."

"Mister Herman Humpfel wrote a song that I feel is destined to be a classic, and I hope you come to enjoy it as much as I."  I carefully make my way over to the stage and close my eyes as the first few notes escape my lips...

This day and age we're living in
Gives cause for apprehension
With speed and new invention
And things like fourth dimension.

Yet we get a trifle weary
With Mr. Einstein's theory.
So we must get down to earth at times
Relax relieve the tension

And no matter what the progress
Or what may yet be proved
The simple facts of life are such
They cannot be removed.

You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by.

And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you."
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by.

Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date.
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate.
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny.

It's still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die.
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

Oh yes, the world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

I slowly lower my head as the last words trail into the night, and bow to the crowd gathered around the dance floor. With a last smile I wave good night to the audience and take my leave of the Casino, using the back enterance.
