| My First Tommy Gun | Started by: Franklin on Apr 11, '22 06:01 |
"This war is getting intense...Angelo got shot outside of Vicky's dinner in broad fuckin' daylight and then they dropped Tony inside of the donut shop on 5th Ave. I could be next..." Franklin reached into his coat pocket. He briefly paused and looked around carefully...slowly pulling out his beloved Smith and Wesson Model 19. He stared it, rotating it carefully, inspecting every angel of his favorite gun. "I'm not sure this is enough to protect me. I need some more fire power...something that'll really leave a strong impression, something that will really blow them away. A Remington shotgun? Nah, not enough range. Some explosives? Nah, too risky and not worth it. What about something automatic? Something that ain't too big but packs a fuckin' punch. I got it! A Tommy gun." It was at that moment Franklin knew what he needed, a Tommy gun. "But where can I get it from...? Wait...That's it! Cousin D'mitri has a connect that's an arms dealer back in Sicily. Fuck, I'll need a pilot." Franklin put his "pea-shooter" back in his pocket. He was ready for something bigger and better. This was going to require a long tedious journey. During a war this would be even harder but Franklin knew he had to acquire this fire arm by any means neccesary if he wanted to make it out alive...This is what he would need to protect his family, his crew.
This is the beginning of Franklin's journey |

The deep aroma of diesel filled the air. Black smoke from the tail pipe of a gorgeous Dodge Power Wagon shrouded over Franklin. Main street was busy today. Horns honking, children bouncing balls while scurrying along the sidewalk. A group of wise guy's arguing over the bet's they lost from last night's ball game, while the woman could be heard from outside the bakery shop and across the wide two way street was Sal's Pizzeria, booming with business as usual. It was quite the commotion but it was a regular day for Franklin. He passed through the lot of people without regard, slipping and sliding between any obstacle in his path, knocking over one of the bozo's who was whining over losing 50 grand...What a joke. Franklin didn't give a fuck, did he ever? He needed to find Cousin D'mitri and he needed to find him fast. Franklin moved with urgency. This idea, this plan, put him into a frenzy but he knew without his cousin D'mitri, there was no way in hell he'd be able to arrange a sit down with the arms dealer. He continued his quick pace, finally reaching the end of Main street. He stopped dead in his tracks, carefully checking his surroundings, making sure that he wasn't being tailed. He sighed, "Fuck...I'm losing it." and continued on. Franklin reaches the entrance for Luca's Night Club |

Franklin pounded on the door aggressively, howling, "Let me in you fucks, it's Franklin". The bodyguard behind the door unlocked each solid steel latch, one after the other. It felt like a million years for Franklin as he anxiously paced back and forth until the door suddenly swung open, smacking Franklin square on his nose. He fell a few steps back and lost his balance, "Fuckin' Ay, don't you people know how to open a god damn door? You almost broke my nose!" exclaimed Franklin. The most irritating laughter you could imagine came from the entrance, followed by a smug response from a familiar voice, "Maybe you should watch where the fuck ya walkin', Cousin." It was Cousin D'mitri. "This fuckin' guy...if he wasn't my cousin I'd knock his head sideways" Franklin did his best to ignore his cousin, he was there for important matters. "Cousin D'mitri...my apologies", said Franklin half-heartedly. "Franklin, Franklin, it's no problem at all, what brings you down here? I was just about to head over to Sal's Pizzeria, walk with me. Don't worry, it's safe, Main Street is supposed to be off limits" said D'mitri. Franklin knew D'mitri was referring to Main Street being off limits during the war, no violence, no bloodshed allowed. There's too many innocent civilians on that street, too many local businesses. Little did D'mitri know what just happened to Angelo and Tony..."Yeah D'mitri, let's take a walk...I have a favor, I need a fuckin' Tommy Gun.", said Franklin.

The air became tense and there was a brief moment of silence before Franklin said it again but this time he said it with a certain sternness in his voice. It was clear he meant business.
"D'mitri, I need it. I need a Tommy Gun.". Cousin D'mitri glanced at Franklin as they continued down the alley. "What in the hell do you need that kinda iron for huh? Luca don't even got one yet.". "Shit's getting serious D'mitri. They just popped Angelo and Tony on main street. There ain't rules no more...no honor. I don't feel safe with my piece. We all ain't safe if ya look at it and I need to make a statement so nobody ever fucks with our family again." D'mitri was speechless. Partially because he was struggling to process that two guys that high up could be put down in an off limits zone and the other part that was that he couldn't believe the balls on his cousin. "Franklin...you understand what you're asking me for right? This favor would not only cost you but the only way to get that kinda firepower is through the homeland and some powerful people." "Whatever the cost, I'll pay it and if I owe you, I owe you but I need this. Could you really arrange this sit down with your connection? I'll need you to come of course...for back up. Oh! and don't worry, I have a pilot I trust so we'll be able to get there with no problem." D'mitri stopped, he thought about what he just heard. He was used to his cousin, his impulsiveness but this was a request unlike any other. He paused once more and looked directly into Franklin's eyes. He stared with a cautious gaze, "Alright. You fuckin owe me cousin...how soon do you..", before he could even finish Franklin interrupted, "LET'S FUCKIN' GO". Franklin's plan was finally starting to roll. There was still much preparation required but it was the start he was hoping for. He'd let D'mitri handle his part, the phone calls, arranging the sit down with the connect and he'd do his part, arranging the flight back to the homeland. He kept a plane hidden in a hangar up north. He used to use it for drug runs and other illegal activity but for the past two years it'd been collecting cobwebs and dust. Servicing it would be no issue for Franklin, he was very familiar with it. So with the plane in order, there was other person needed to find, his old pilot...his brother Sammy.
