Hey everyone today is Earth day so you might l see things like London shutting off the lights off (Big Ben?) Paris turning the lighs off of the Eiffel Tower if they still do that, My question is do you do anything for earth day? not jut earth day but things that can be considered more "Green" and "Eco-Friendly"? I strongly believe in recycling i recycle my plastics metal cans milk jugs and paper and box board, I'm trying to start up a curbside recycling pickup program in my community just not sure how to go about it,the expense, getting support etc, Let me read your thoughts good or bad and GO! |

Happy earth day, this day is not given much notice in the US. When I was younger, we talked about it in school but after that it fell off the radar. |

| I had my water turned off for a few hours and coincidentally it was Earth Day today. Does that count lol? Also, there’s a hole in the ceiling with a leaking pipe but I’m not sure that’s helping the Earth or me. Just a girl with plumbing issues and horrible ceiling structures on Earth Day. I made a pineapple upside down cake today using bottled water instead of sink water so I think that contributes to this wonderful Earth Day today as well. I went outside for a few minutes to enjoy the nice weather. How about anyone else lol!??? | |

I seen it trending on Twitter but actually never knew much about it. Here in Qatar, eco friendly is a strange term. Recycling still hasn't really taken off yet. Plastic shopping bags are still freely used in all supermarkets. It's a shame |

I only saw the topic being brought up on social media while scrolling through my timeline. Didn't really do anything particular on Earth day but I've always been on the conservative side whenever possible. Properly categorize trash so it can be recycled more easily is a daily chore. |

A fundamental change to how the world lives is going to come. Look at the population statistics from the 1960's onwards and it is pretty clear what the problem is. The wasteful society we have grown up in cannot continue and the change is painful. Energy has to become de-carbonised and the switch to non-carbon energy production can only be acheivable if it is profitable, which means that prices must be higher. So expect that the current high gas /petrol etc prices are the new normal. |
