I'm here to tell you all a story about effort, commitment and loyalty. I think this is something a lot of you bozos could learn from. Once upon a time a young Thug by the name of....lets call him Bertha....was fed up with the grind of a real job and fell back in with the kids from the neighborhood who he had grown up. I don't want to brag, but he was kind of a big deal to them, so they welcomed him back among their number with open arms. He quickly rose through the ranks until Bertha was viewed as the de facto leader of that little posse. It was nothing glamorous, just a few punks running a couple of corners in Chicago. They lived day to day, hustling and grinding to earn a little bit of cheddar, running from the local law enforcement. Sooner rather than later, they caught the eye of a real player. She invited Bertha for a friendly chat where it was explained that Bertha's posse were going to start working for her. Seeing the writing on the wall, Bertha talked his boys into doing as they were told and stick to what they did best. Hustle and grind. They kept making money and they earned enough to make sure envelopes went upstairs. In exchange, they didn't need to run from the cops anymore, because they were on the take now too. Bertha did whatever was asked, taking on more and more responsibility whenever it was offered. He never deviated from what was required. If there was a job to do, he did it. If there was money to be made, he made it. The rise to the top was lined with wads and wads of cash that he made and eventually, his boss recognised that hard work. In some ways it had seemed like five minutes, in others, it had seemed like 91 days, but today, Bertha is the proud number 3 of that organisation he began working for in Chicago so long ago. Now, I'm going to let you in on another little secret - I am Bertha - I am LEFT HAND MAN of Drunk n' Disorderly. While some others have turned their backs on their leaders, just remember this little story. Hard work does pay off if you have the right person at the top of your crew. I will continue to fight for my family and my friends, just like I know they will fight for me. The naysayers just want the glory for themselves, they don't want to work at it. I spit on them and point to Bertha (my) example. |

"This is a guy that I have admired from afar and his story is one that has inspired my personally. I have been a bit down on my luck of late, but hearing this magnificent story of hard work paying off has kind of brought me back from the brink." Just as Hugo is about to offer his congratulations to Hertha with a handshake, a fat wadge of spit catches him square in the face. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he yells, clutching a hand to his face. "Someone just spat in my eye! DIRTY BASTARDS!!" Hugo waddles away cursing his luck once again. First he had been forced to ferry people backwards and forwards from Las Vegas and back without them even getting off the plane to do anything, and now this. His life was a car crash. |

Bertha, Hertha, where does one end and the other begin? Hertha being Bertha, and Bertha being Hertha. If you made a venn diagram, it would look like one circle. Or a frisbee, which some people claim is a sport just because they have put the word 'ultimate' in front of it. What a magnificent 91 days it has been for you. What will you do with your 92nd?
