Ever since she moved to Las Vegas, she barely had any time for herself anymore as she was always working non-stop. Still, the thought of going back home and living with her parents would come to mind here and there, but she knew she needed to move away from home so she could find herself and become independent. Fresh out of college, she had on her game face ready to conquer the world.

Her cousin encouraged her to come out to Las Vegas for more job opportunities. Vela was extremely grateful to be here. She had met lots of new people at her work, one of them being Jaskier.

After a long day at work, she didn’t want to waste the night being at home by herself so she decided to invite Jaskier out for lunch where they could discuss their next job together...

Coming home from a hard day of hustling, trying to make a name for himself in this big new city of Las Vegas. When entering the HQ he found a note on his bed. The note read "I have some plans for a job, need help though, lunch tomorrow to discuss?".

He pondered for a bit, who could have sent him this note? It didn't take long for him to get an answer though because when he left his room he saw Vela staring at him with a big grin on her face. Walking over to her he held the note out and asked, this you?

The next day he hurried over to his favorite place along the Strip. When he got there Vela was already there waiting for him...

“I seem to always be one step ahead of you,” Vela smiled in amusement. She invited her colleague to take a seat and make himself comfortable. She ordered some food for herself and then kindly waited for Jaskier to finish ordering before discussing the details of their job.

“It’s a bit tricky this one, but basically – we need to steal a set of keys. It’s not just any keys though, it’s keys to a special safe that holds big fortunes and paintings probably worth more than both our lives combined.”

Luna was dead serious, but when she looked over at Jaskier she couldn’t help but feel he was making fun of her.

When arriving at their designated meeting spot he immediately spotted Vela already sitting in a cozy booth with a big fresh drink in front of her. He quickly waved down a waiter and placed an order. He ordered a large pint with a burger the place lovingly called "The Jumbo Burger". He felt like he deserved it though, as they were here to talk business. He listened to Vela 's story about some keys that would lead to a large treasure. 

Dreaming of the large treasure ahead of them, he was reminded of stories of old. Where pirates would bring along other pirates to do the heavy lifting and when it was time to devide the plunder they would double cross them and take everything for themselves. Keeping this in mind he thought he'd have to stay weary but didn't mention any of this to Vela as not to spook her with his paranoia.

Grinning at Vela he asked, what pirates tale lead you to this wonderful opportunity...?
