April/May War 2022 The Forever War | Started by: Xkop on May 06, '22 23:24 |
Xkop spent some time reflecting on the past few days in his newly sourced office. The scars of the most recent war still forming as he laid claim to the empty building on the outskirts of Brooklyn, New York. He was safely under the protection of Don Gremlin and Don Valinor which allowed him more opportunities to publish his work without fear of reprisal. His mind cast back through the history books and the infamous May War of 2013. Two titans in DeadlySin and Cpt-Harris slugging it out shot for shot, a fight for the ages and a war that lasted over a week involving the biggest cities of America. Perhaps it was only right and somewhat poignant that close to the 9th anniversary of that war there was another that had just wrapped up to rival (and arguably exceed) the brutality, destruction, and effort of that one. Over the past couple of days he had almost unfettered access to one side in this war. Not that he was picking sides, and this he wanted to emphasise, but that it gave him a unique insight into the inner workings and information of much of what went down and why it went down. The purpose of this article was not to paint an image, nor rationalise or condone the actions of those that made the move – just to simply capture the story as best as he had been told and seen. Soon enough the war would be a fading memory of extorted “facts” and he hoped to simply capture the essence of the actions that had taken place - whilst still fresh in his mind. Soon enough this would be the only written reminder of what happened, and perhaps a point of reference for new and old as the wheel of time continues to turn. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- April/May War 2022 – The Forever WarBy Xkop
Part 1 – “you got the juice?”It was a first wave of biblical proportions. 05:45, 20 shooters – men, women and one very late Boy. 20 further mobsters there to protect, weeks of planning had apparently gone into this. 16 successes, one miss on the first wave. Some shooters adrenaline was so high they could shoot again almost instantly, others were fortunate enough to be ghost like and shoot again with no cooldown. Within the first hour 31 of the most prominent mobsters had dropped, the country in disarray. Only one returned fire had seen the first of the aggressors lose their life Capo DarthRevan. DarthRevan dutifully fulfilling his role as chief protector for Consigliere Climax. As I’ll come onto later, there’s no doubt in mind from what I have seen and been told, that the relentless dedication of protectors is what won this war and for whom the spoils I hope are shared. Over the next hour a further 22 mobsters dropped for only 2 in reply by the team now firmly on the backfoot despite the significant numerical advantage. Consigliere Wendy the most high profile death on the aggressors side. A poor woman caught up in a situation with no obvious way to turn. I am told she was dispatched by the hand of her own Godfather Goldbrick, a final look of disappointment as the trigger pulled. The wave has been captured below for memory, may God Rest Their Souls.
Part 2 – “is Martini online?”The mobsters continue to drop dead across the cities as the war entered the 4th hour. A feeling from the aggressors was that the mobsters on top had grown lazy and slack which made for ripe pickings as they continued to systematically shoot people from a pre-prepared list. The bodies piled up as the defending cities struggled to work out who it was attacking them. A further 27 killed for only 3 in reply, mostly low level protection mobsters the obituary’s show us. However by 10:00 the defenders had their first breakthrough, followed not long after by a second. Consiglieres ElihuRoot and Don Jackal both falling. One I am led to believe was at the hands of a protection shooter. But still, morale boosting deaths for the defenders. Thunder was the 3rd of the “shooters” to fall, Don Eren getting his revenge for the earlier miss on him. The odds were certainly evening up as the defenders gathered a semblance of organisation and resilience to the aggressors, not prepared to go down without a fight. By 00:00, almost 18 hours since the initial assault the all-out attack was finally evenly poised. Boss Djinn had sacrificed his life as bait – no nibbles. Don Martini had fallen to her protectors shot and Capo Wolfster had gone out to Detroit to die alone and unprotected, similarly did Boss VanTastick. The protectors had very quickly started to dry up for the aggressors. Wise Guy Wilford allegedly just seconds from getting protected before his untimely death. The defenders had also lost mobsters but not to the same alarming rate as earlier that morning. Part 3 – “the witching hours”The next 48 hours are something of a hazy recollection I am told for all those that were alive to tell the story. The defenders playing a game of cat and mouse with the aggressors, searching for protectors, and shooting anything that resembled the enemy – innocent or otherwise. The aggressors desperately asking anyone and everyone to help – regardless of their crew allegiance. And I say this with absolute confidence that it was those during this time that helped the aggressors eventually “win” this war. No stories will be told about these individuals. Even with this story this beat writer doesn’t have the names of the protectors on either sides and suspect many that received their help would struggle to name those that helped them. Fearlessly risking it all, trusted with that mobster’s location and vital information. Trusted to get to them and provide the much-needed protection. It would be unhelpful of me at this point to provide documentation from the obituaries, but I can see that 107 Gangsters, Goombas, Earners and Wise Guys died in this period. Frightening loss of life. Part 4 – “the gulag”There was a real sense I felt from the aggressors that the witching hours had really tipped the balance in favour of the defenders. Numbers were quickly dwindling, barely surviving from protection shot to protection shot. Heat for their activities continuing to rise and not a seemingly obvious way to get over the line. It therefore felt rather apt that a Russian man, from the home of the gulag, didn’t merely prevail but excelled in the gulags of New York. During a sleepy period on the 29th of April at 04:22 Godfather Freyja was felled after an errant shot on Wise Guy Gremlin. Vladimir besting his younger brother Consigliere Valinor to the shot. There was a real feeling of relief as Godfather Freyja fell the morale boost that was needed. Not long after the “King of New York” Vladimir shot Don Wheeler – charging in to avenge his Godmother. Valinor quick to add that he importantly shot Wheeler’s protector to make the kill easier for his brother. The tide was shifting again. Following in the footsteps of Vladimir was the mysterious fella Don Giorgio-Esposito who had also spent some time taking out the trash in New York. Fresh faced from an alleged 18-hour sleep, Giorgio “sleeping beauty” Esposito had been chipping at the edges of the mobsters in New York. Constantly testing their defences, looking for any faults and there he found not but two caught off guard. Don Keziah fast asleep and defenceless, a rather bizarre scenario to find him in when protectors I am told were so plentiful and then Consigliere Constipated bested by Giorgio who quickly flew to Chicago to secure his protection shot after downing the mobster. The defenders were very much up against at this point.. Then another change in the wind, the flights locked down and everyone was grounded. With no escape from New York, Vladimir was left alone with limited protectors and no ability to fly out of the city. He was alone and left for dead, his bodyguards killed at speed by the Defenders that had managed to trap him there with no escape. This was their time to get some much-needed retribution and morale to even the score. However, they hadn’t planned for Vladimir’s defensive prowess, he made light work of Crewleader BigBadSpikes baiting him out whilst managing to dodge Don SladeWilson’s shots at him. Enraged SladeWilson accepted Vladimir’s offer of a duel with him to shoot first convinced his gun was simply misfiring. However, he missed again, Vladimir did not. He was the gulag and the gulag was him. 4 mobsters downed, no reply. A pivotal swing back in the favour of the aggressors. Morale severely impacted it would seem. Part 5 – “when one crew closes another one opens”Flights had been grounded. Another twist in the tale of this war, raging well into its 5th day at this point. Flights had been grounded, airport staff hadn’t received their dues due to the distraction this war provided and everyone was stuck in the city they were in.. Some individuals thrived during this adversity. New York had trapped Vladimir in the gulag, despite his heroics he eventually succumbed. A shot with less than 1% likelihood finally saw an end to his rule as the King of New York. I have been told he would have taken some pleasure in at least it being one of his own men and not the defenders in a city where he really should have fallen and quickly to them.. Another of the core shooters, and apparently the biggest of all the guns, Don Assertive also fell to a protection shot during this period. Two big blows in just 4 hours once again evened up this topsy turvy war for power. Another man fighting his own battle was Don Insomnia, stuck in Philadelphia with Don Darkening and Giorgio. He had been abandoned by the rest of his team whilst he slept. The relentless Darkening took up the hunt, continuing to shoot at him hour after hour, minute after minute – hoping one of the shots hit - and then it did. A sequel of excitement and cheer erupted on the aggressor’s side with a special mention made to Remus, one of those vital protection shooters and on the ground co-ordinators vital to the kill. It is said that Tornado, an inexperienced Gangster from New York was tasked with protecting the Don. He failed, some wonder if that was intentional or not, but that would just be speculation and rumours and neither have a place in this piece. Slowly but surely the odds were stacking in the favour of the aggressors. They had the numbers; they had the guns and more so every day it seemed they had the better teamwork and motivation to want to win. As is often the case where there is a lack of goal congruence amongst a misfit of countrywide mobsters. Flights remained closed for what seemed like an eternity, any high-level mobster daring to fly cities quickly met with a slap down and their guns taken off them. As such, both sides turned inwards to the cities they were residing, clearing house of anyone they didn’t know. A litany of dead mobsters strewn across the obits, by my count there was XX in the space of 24 hours. Part 6 – “Circle-Of-Dire”The general feeling amongst the aggressors had been that the death of Godfather Circle-Of-Fire would all but confirm a victory. A woman not seen as a high-profile 1st wave shot due to her age and propensity for other commitments had defied the odds to be the beacon of hope and strength for the defenders and the thorn in the side of the attackers. Along with her trusty right hand man Don Grace they had both evaded death for many days whilst posing a constant threat to be wary of. However, a sneaky move by the aggressors saw Valinor and Don twigs sneak into the city of Detroit where she was sleeping.. alone. And so, good to her name Circle-Of-Fire became surrounded by her own circle of firing shots. Rumour has it Valinor fired over 100,000 shots, in a concentrated effort lasting many hours. During this onslaught he found himself in the immediate vicinity but no success shot.. Swing just managing to sneak past him and protect the Godfather. twigs then joined the fray, also firing shot after shot from another district at COF. This time she would not be so lucky, the unlikely man sent in to keep her safe failing in his duties and twigs delivering the dagger to the heart. Swiftly following this was the retirement to the old country of Grace, perhaps an appropriate end for an individual that contributed excellent vision but not much else to the war efforts, so I am led to believe. Part 7 – “clean up on aisle Th(Bebe)”The beginning of the end following the death of COF. The resilience shown by the defending side was now in tatters. Flights had finally been unlocked and the aggressors buoyed by their recent successes moved in to finish the job they had started 9 days earlier. It was Darkening that made the first move, challenging the elusive bordering invisible Don Bebe to a duel, both would shoot at the same time. And so they did, both hitting and both meeting their untimely demise. Of the original aggressors they were down to just 6 all bearing down on Don Caveman, the last man standing. I am told he had a prolific run during the war, dispatching many protectors and middle tier guns for fun for the defending side. Unfortunately as the hours ticked, so did the protection he had.. sleeping beauty finally adding the notch of Caveman to his belt. The Don Destroyer. Part 8 – “we're different”And so the death of Caveman signalled the end of the war. Of the original aggressors and all the defending cities just 5 men and 1 woman stood alone atop the mountain. Dons Climax, TwenTone, Gremlin, Valinor, twigs and Giorgio-Esposito. The death count and breakdown recorded as follows:
During the time I’ve spent with the aggressors the mantra of “we’re different” has been used on more than one occasion. Comments from the streets suggest that this time can’t and won’t be any different than every other time there’s some new mobsters in power. Will the hunters become the hunted? Only time will tell. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Appendix Prominent Aggressors

A great summary! A good way to wrap up a massive war, especially one of this magnitude, and to have something to reflect back on in the future! However, I must also add in a few little corrections and additions just so the entire story can remain accurate:
Bebe was actually the one who challenged Darkening to the duel, not them! Hunter was not an aggressor, at least as far as I know; during the initial wave (with the death of Fluffiest_Tummy), he flew to Las Vegas (and some others!) in a panic, which also sent the rest of Vegas into a panic as well despite no visible shots being fired, as far as I'm aware. Out of safety and a bit of paranoia, Circle-of-Fire shot them. NoahRugs was killed by AdmiralAckbar following the first wave, out of spite presumably or some older plans by CH/DT to remove Vegas. Lastly, I did a whole lot of nothing! I scoped around the west coast a bit, especially after flights were locked out, mailing some seen aggressors and those protecting, but otherwise I'm proud to say I did basically nothing. |

Valinor stepped out of the crowd after listening to everything around him. His gun being holstered for the longest time since he'd been given it by his father. A truly great read, and an awesome account of details. This will be looked back upon for a long time to come. I would like to reiterate that Don Darkening did indeed offer the first duel to Don Bebe. There was a bit of miscommunication in the way a duel worked so Don Darkening took the time out of his day to explain to his opponent how to properly duel before hand which is truly commendable. If you only stepped out in the streets to see the action though, you'd surely only hear Don Bebe shout "Let's do this then." which could be taken as an issue. Both parties shot true and laid down their own lives for the cause, honorable. Darkening was always longing to leave this world after seeing things though, and found it a way to possibly save another of his allies from falling. He was a great and selfless man as were many of the fallen attackers. Lots of great men and woman laid down their lives so others might live a few more precious hours. As for the other details, I'd say our writer is somehow very well informed, even if it doesn't appear so to the public. Great job, and awesome reporting. Rest in peace to all the fallen. I'd just like to say that this is to new beginnings and better times ahead. This war will truly go down in history, and thank you for memorializing it Xkop. |

Correction.Dear readers, I have been informed that I made two mistakes when pulling together a list of the aggressors. Two individuals included that I have been told from a number of individuals were not involved and in fact part of the defenders side. To those 2 individuals I most humbly apologise for this error and any undue attention/questions this might have created of your next of kin. I am working hard to have this rectified. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

This could have been the great war to end all wars. However, noone actually knew what their end game was and as such, it's never going to go down in the anals of history. DING DONG! |

"Noone actually knew what their end game was..." I would take it one step further and say that a sizeable portion of Cosa Nostra did not even know which side they were on until this summary was reported on the streets. |

An excellent telling of the events that took place. This will no doubt go down as one of the greatest wars of all time. The amount of preparation, dedication and tactics involved can not be overstated. Watching the men and women first hand, I can tell you it was gruelling and exhausting. Winning out against all odds against a corrupt regime with only murdering innocents on it's mind. Well done to those involved, respect to those who did not give up on both sides, and thank you Xkop for putting this piece together so everyone can be aware of the magic we just witnessed. |

ChimkenNuggets wonders how the previous regime was corrupt and murdering innocents. The war killed many more innocents than even the cruelest regimes in history. The war was killing gangsters and goombas like they were going to be made into Nuggets themselves. ChimkenNuggets does not express this. As ChimkenNuggets do not speak. ChimkenNuggets does however know, that should he ever come to power, he will bring an age of terror to these shores. A terror the likes of which only a Nugget can bring. Afterall. There can be only one. Unless you get a sharer box of twenty or nine or six... Yes. There can be only one ChimkenNugget. |

Definitely went better than the earlier removal of Chicago, which supposedly had a leak in the first place. However, considering the backgrounds involved with the new regime, a leak happening would overall be very unlikely, but still pretty notable for not happening whatsoever. |

A fantastic summary of what proved to be an incredible event, quite frankly. The level of organisation and dedication was quite frankly mind blowing. Nobody in my family had ever seen anything quite like that previously and am doubting that I may in future. Kudos to all involved, even though my Dad got shot. |

The Forever War... gotta say - that's a sensational name, whoever came up with that. Great article, well written and accurate too; great round off to this removal. I've heard stories of protectors risking life and livelihood to protect the assailants up to 7 or 8 times before meeting their maker. This sort of commitment, trust and cooperation really speaks volumes about the strength of feeling about the attackers, and towards certain circles of the previous regime. |
