The fire grew larger as Shayna stood before it. A lit match in her hand that she drops almost immediately as it started to heat her own skin. A small smile spread across her lips as she gazed into the fire.

"There it goes. Everything."

Her eyes lit up and she stepped a little closer, feeling the heat of the fire. Mischief gleamed from the very core of her.

"No one will ever tame me again."

The smile on her face grew, and she watched every bridge that she had built burn to the ground. There was nothing left to hold her back any longer. As she watched the fire rage on, and continue to grow, her mind wandered a little. There had always been something a little wild about those around her. It was what drew her in. Captivated.

Her mind danced with the memories of those people. Each and every face flashing before her eyes. Some would hit her harder, but she had hardened her heart against those feelings. Those thoughts merely flashed, felt and then disappearing as the flames licked up every memory. Every photograph. Every gift. Every moment.

Up in flames. All of it.

The sirens were drawing closer, someone had called in the fire. Shayna lingered a little longer though, waiting until almost the last moment to flee into the darkness.

The quiet cover of a dark cloudy sky. Rain was heavy in the air.

Her steps muffled by the sirens, her senses tingling with anticipation.

Where would the future take her?

Everywhere and nowhere.
