The criminal activity in Las Vegas was steadily recuperating after the recent conflicts. New crime families led by @Climax, @Giorgio-Esposito and twigs had sprung up, and their HQs had quickly filled up with aspiring mafiosos. The crime bosses had already made a small fortune from running organized crimes in the city, but it was dirty money. They needed a way to launder it, and it had to be a large-scale operation. Twigs had long pondered on how to go about it when it came upon him that he found himself in Sin City, the place known world-wide for its gambling. It was obvious that he had to open a casino. He quickly employed @Mikhail, a man whose bloodline was famous for running successful gambling enterprises, as his manager. With everything else set, twigs started on his casino advert:

Twigs was very satisfied with his new advert. He was confident that he'd solved his money laundering problem while also providing entertainment to his guests. Now, all he had to do was spread the word across all the cities. The advert would be plastered all over the streets.

twigs was satisfied with last week's revenue at the poker tables, but wished for more participants this upcoming weekend. He went on to publicly announce the winners of the tournament:

twigs hastily clipped two additional announcements to the poster:

"For easier coordination between aspiring participants in the upcoming poker tournaments, we have opened up a dedicated coffee shop at the casino. Feel free to visit us at #PalmsCasino for additional information! I am also proud to announce that I'll be giving out perks to random players who show up at the tournament tomorrow."

Hobbs had arrived at the Palm Casino. He’d only had to travel in from Summerlin, so it wasn’t too tasking for him to get there. Like a nerd, he arrived early and was let in through the doors straight away without too many checks or fluster. This was a city that knew how to put on an event, unlike those jokers in other cities who couldn’t fill a gymnasium for a bake sale, nevermind host a game of Poker.

Hobbs was quietly confident. Sure he hadn't played too many high stakes games in the last decade, but he had words of advice from his friend Headcoach ringing in his ears

The first few hands he eased himself into it, only adding to the ante if he had something in his pocket. He won a couple of hands. A pair of queens, followed by a straight. Then came the moment of reckoning. A double pair. He called confidently, with increasing abandon and reckless. All in he went, already dreaming of the prize pot. Only, he lost. And he lost big. Instead of winning he finished last. Dead last. 

There was only one person to blame for this, and that was the man who gave him terrible, terrible advice. In hindsight, the advice may have been perfect for smashing through a session on the free weights before a morning dump, but less effective in a game of hold em.

He flung his cards down on the table, tipped his non-existent fedora to twigs and flounced stormed out of the casino. He’d book the first flight to Detroit in the morning and wage war on the 12^th Street Toilet.

Last night had been a great success for Palms Casino. Plenty of new faces had been seen at the poker table, and they had seen a record number of participants. The only bad part was the slight disappointment that twigs experienced due to the absence of Climax and Gnoch. Still, a lot of money had been laundered. Hoping to find even more participants for the next weekend, twigs went outside of the casino and started shouting:

Recently, though, twigs had been hit by a particularly big bill for the upkeep of his bodyguards. Apparently they all needed to take a self-defense course. With no other way of footing the bill, twigs hoped to generate some extra gambling activity at his casino. For this reason, he concocted a new win-win plan to gain traction.
