The Iron Bank: Is Cheating Okay? Started by: Spikey on May 23, '22 20:42

So, the Iron Bank has returned with the backing of Las Vegas. Is this acceptable to the people of this world? Do people remember what was done not all that long ago under the same flag? Stealing from Casinos and using those funds for loans and other purchases for months and months, effectively cheating an entire era. The damage done to this world was incalculable. We may be involved in this thing of ours, but there is still a certain requirement of things being fair. The Iron Bank skirted that requirement to an extreme.

An Old Flyer

As much as the actors for the Bank were punished, it was tougher not to feel bad for those who the Bank had funded have to come up with giant sums of money to repay the Bank’s fraud. Most of them did not know what they were getting involved with. I am curious as to what the debt that Mikhail owes to Premeir is, if legitimate. If the Bank is in heavy debt, it probably shouldn't be giving out loans. We've seen how that's gone before. Perhaps we can hear about it in coherent detail for the class.

Geralt, despite his faults and delayed reporting, is better than him. Valinor is better than him, generally better than the bunch, but this is exactly why he gets associated... Giorgio-Esposito, despite his history as a fraud and wanting to destroy this world himself, is perhaps better than him, maybe not, and Wish is miles above all of them in terms of values. But do they choose to be blind? No. They know, but they choose “innocence,” and he gets a pass. Does he do their dirty work while they sit in their clean white leather chairs?

Mikhail may refer to me a vile scumbag, but he will always be a Cheater, Repeat Offender, PNG, and known for hoodwinking leaders with funding in place of loyalty before he backstabs them. People can say that they aren’t like him, but if they support him, they end up as no better. They end up lumped in because the only way to really get at him is to get at those who feed him. We cannot change their minds about him though, not just because he's trying to be Mr. Moneybags.

While there’s been a mantra from this new Regime about how they are different from their past ancestors, this is a prime example of a continuation…  While some of them may not have malintent, they protect and benefit the ones who do. They allow someone like Mikhail to mock the fact that his “Bank” cheated, and now he brings the Iron Bank back because he knows his friends who are leaders will let him.

He did this just so he could make a mockery of cheating and his current backing by a regime. It was a flex, but those leaders and friends of his won’t even smack him on the nose with a newspaper if he shits the bed. Will Mikhail blame the dog? Will he call it a prank gone wrong on the stand?

So, if this Bank with which he is “loaning” money from would be transparent and public with these supposed loans, more than likely, it’s mostly just him funding the regime internally so he can ensure they let him have a seat at the table before he tries to fuck them over again.

Obviously, they won’t make these “massive” loans public, but there’s nothing to believe in their numbers. These numbers should bear no credibility to the Bank. No matter, there’s an issue of branding here. Some of his friends know better than to wear their old Numbered Flag because well, they can’t. Even those that flew that Flag, were in ignorance of the crimes as they were happening. Yet, they did nothing towards the true cheats but provide aid and protection.

As for trust, which is the most important thing about a bank, let’s just consider Mikhail’s credit report, and his poor taste in choosing to represent Russia at this time, given the genocide, war crimes, etc… It's not funny. Trying to go against the grain is one thing, but clearly, he has no compass. Way to be a disgrace buddy and way to make your friends look bad, again. Not that it will matter to them.

He wanted to get a reaction from this, obviously, he got one. I had fun.

Well said sir Ragnarok_.

For the record - The Iron Bank is the leading loaner currently within the continental United States.

Looking for a loan with a great interest rate? Please do consider sir Mikhail and the Iron Bank.

I'm sorry you feel that way, how ever unclever or substantiated those feelings of yours might be.

Let's see the transcript and not dance around it then. Why haven't you been able to collect? How long has it been? Is it a legitimate loan? Otherwise, there's no point in bringing it up.

Report Post Tip

You would have did better by not trying to criticize me I was agreeing with you so don't come back and tell me not to dance around it

Mistakes are made and no one should try justify them. However, that doesn't mean mistakes are unredeemable.  The Iron Bank may have made some bad mistakes in the past but that doesn't mean they haven't changed and aren't going to do good.

Although, perhaps it is of poor taste to keep it the same name and it may have done better to make it something new for a fresh start.

you know the times you go in and you say you have a coupon and they just accept it and then you try it again and again and again and again this was a mistake that was made and then exploited and exploit it again until they were finally caught and now they say fuck you caught me I don't care I'll Rep the same thing because my punishment was cut short then I got caught up on some other shit got a band for that now here I am hanging out with my new friends and since I can't cheat I can only swallow
